  • RYZE.NYC-B034X has finally fully melted down and is offline now. Maybe he's taking it apart RIGHT NOW and applying fresh thermal paste?

  • On the sailing boat? Not most likely.

Finally got sick and tired of them and decided to find patient zero. One can only hope :)

  • Three months ago, VirMach boarded an F22 flight to Dallas to repair the VPS, but the flight was delayed, and they are still waiting in the airport lounge.

I bet that node reboot is all that's required here, but it doesn't help if the only person who can do that is in a deep state of medica... meditation somewhere in the Andes mountains :anguished:

It's a good thing Virmach isn't in danger, but he's not following the radio silence code and is quietly logging on to this site.

Have the honor of being the crybaby who pays $20 for a 128MB VPS at VirMach in 2023.

We have identified an issue with the disks FFME004 and FFME05 and are currently working on a solution to bring the nodes back online with as little data loss as possible, if any. Access to the control panel has been disabled while we work on this. Apologies for any inconvenience caused by this.

  • What's the best place to go refuge from virmach?

I had a bunch of non-critical stuff on servers I've gotten from BF in the past few years. This year they wouldn't process any of my credit cards and then terminated the services. No real loss, just wondering who else may provide similar value?

  • Nobody else provides similar value, especially not when compared to the Virmach BF specials.

Maybe Xmas or New Years some providers will have some specials you might like.

Was a reason given for terminating your services?
Are you a multi account MJJ related person?

    I can't agree with that.
If you consider every aspect of a service (resources, stability, support, price, locations...) not just the resources/price ratio imho nothing compares to GCV special deals.

I tried to pay the invoices and the payments wouldn't go through. couldn't get anyone for support with the payment so just kinda gave up. No multi-account.

    There is a SEAZ001 ?

You had a server on SEAZ001 - maybe it migrated to TPAZ003 and it's just double status for the same thing? :D

  • RYZE.NYC-B034X has been dead for a few weeks now and I cant open a ticket because the scripts that the ticket system runs to figure out if its me opening a dumb ticket or if the server is really offline don't complete. The window says it will take 30 seconds maximum but it never finishes. ( @Virmach thought this server had maybe had its cpu thermal paste dry up when I reported a problem with the server a month ago.) I'd love to renew the VPS on this server but I'm not going to risk renewing a dead server that might stay like that for months.

  • That prompted me to look at my SEA VPS: it's on 002 but not working due to IP change. Goes off to manually configure..

It wisnae me! A big boy done it and ran away.

Some really crazy shit going on. :/
From a yabs and a couple of visual traceroutes, it appears that SEAZ002 now resides in Ashburn, VA (New York?). The torturous network path from UK, includes transits all over the World.

    Additionally,
    Extra Packages for Enterprise Linux 8 - x86_64 0.0 B/s | 0 B 00:08
Errors during downloading metadata for repository 'epel':
    - Curl error (7): Couldn't connect to server for http://mirrors.fedoraproject.org/metalink?repo=epel-8&arch=x86_64&infra=stock&content=almalinux [Failed to connect to mirrors.fedoraproject.org port 80: Connection refused]

This is one of the few VPS that I haven't renewed yet and given I purchased due to it being in Seattle, WA, I may as well save the massive £7.49/yr. Goes off to check a Phoenix one on the same invoice..

This building contains half of the VirMach servers in Los Angeles.
I visited on Sunday evening before my flight out of LAX.
I didn't find a data center company logo, but it's the right address, and the cooling tower on the roof checks out.

Who's DC is that suppose to be Quadranet or Hivelocity ?

Could you post a traceroute (or PM me the IP)? Not aware of any Ashburn location.

One of my NY VPS has IP that says its in Ashburn... There is no Ashburn location.
