(Quote) Me too. Although did pick up the RS2000 as didn’t want to gamble

(Quote) G9 is AMD and G8 is Intel Gold

I thought it was a good deal that VPS 1000 considering it’s on AMD as well. I’m hoping the RS specials are AMD but will probably be Intel (G8) based.

(Quote) Yes it was a pre-order plan. Just tested and worked fine, thank you. Just wanted to say thanks for the freebies and great service.

(Quote) When I try to use the coupon for the 2G email it comes up as 100% Recurring Discount $0.00 USD Annually $5.00 USD. I have got a 2GB VPS in London

(Quote) Honestly, at this point I would choose DA. Previously used cPanel extensively across all my servers and had never used DA prior to price increase mid 2019. Since then, I have changed all my servers to DA. Yes it’s been a learning curve, som…

(Quote) That’s a bit harsh. The development DA has had over the last year to 18 months has been phenomenal. The features and tweaks added for both users and admins has shown that they are interested in listening to feedback about their product but m…

(Quote) Yep. Change the theme from Default to any other and you will be able to copy the text just fine.
-
(Quote) Yep. Everything I can see in the WP Toolkit is already included in Softaculous. As most hosting providers are already use it can’t see this toolkit taking off.
-
(Quote) I will have to give it a try. Sounds like it could be useful.

@Ympker I have never worked with Divi. Is it similar to other page builders like Elementor, etc? Do you primarily work with page builders? I’ve always though about using them but tend to find a theme that fits most requirements and then modify acco…

(Quote) I have never setup WP without using a child theme. I like to tinker too much and heavily use custom functions instead of plugins and editing parent themes.
-
(Quote) You can do this automatically within WordPress using the functions file without the need for a plugin. I suspect this is what the plugin is doing anyway. I think the Yoast SEO plugin, if you use it, has an option for this as well.
-
Couldn’t agree more about adding plugins for plugin sake. Personally I would rather use a function than a full blown plugin or add directly into the theme. Having said that have used that plugin a couple of times in the past as it’s been successful.

Have a look at Duplicator plugin - https://wordpress.org/plugins/duplicator/. Will take a carbon copy that you can install elsewhere
-
Don’t bother with DirectSlave, just go with a small VPS and free DA licence much less hassle. I have 3 DA DNS servers with Francisco all using 512MB VPS. They tick over at about 200MB. As @seriesn said install with 2GB Swap and you will be fine.

Has anyone used or using hCaptcha on their WordPress websites and can share some experiences?

(Quote) Definitely think you should have some form of charging model. These things take time to do and you need to be paid for your work, even if the fee is modest but enough to cover your expense. Looking at the video again could you loose the Win…

Good job. Like the intro, very flashy. Have you thought of a demowolf type project, small business. The videos they had for DA were very outdated.
-
I created my own MX template in DirectAdmin for MXRoute. Makes it easier to setup when I add a new domain. @jarland noticed on Twitter potentially looking to move away from cPanel onto DA. Do you have an ETA?

I've updated my staging and production sites today not seen any issues with 5.5. One site needed a DB update after but no issues.

(Quote) Sorry mate my mistake

(Quote) What about something like this https://github.com/osano/cookieconsent/. Not used it personally actually just found it. Might give it a try out on my test WP site.

(Quote) Interesting question. I always use subdomains myself.

(Quote) Hey @Intelpentium0 how are getting with your websites EP requests?
-
(Quote) OK. The limit you are hitting is EP (Entry Processes) and not CPU or RAM. Most shared hosting providers will limit to around 20 or 30, some offer higher EP account limits. Rather than keep moving around try and find the cause of the high EP …
-
(Quote) It might be time that you look towards moving to a VPS or find a host with higher EP limits. Out of interest who are the hosts?
-
(Quote) You said earlier that you had moved to another shared hosting provider and increased the specs to 2 vCore and 2GB RAM but from this post the RAM and CPU are not the issue it is the entry processes. What is the entry processes limit for your…

The Duplicator plugin works well if you are looking to just move a WP site from A to B. Can be used to move from one domain to another as well if needed. I’ve used it a couple of times.

(Quote) Although not a plug-in, Softaculous offers push to live from a dev environment. Used it multiple times and worked flawlessly.
