I don’t think the multi server setup of DA can separate dns records between users/resellers. I know you could with cPanel DNS only as I believe Fran set it up with BuyShared.
-
To answer your question, yes a personal licence allows unlimited DNS records but limits domains. Cheaper method might be getting a server with Inception Hosting, BuyVM or another provider who offers DA for free.
-
@AnthonySmith is the long term plan to move all LES offers over to the blog or keep both locations?
-
You could try something like https://blocklist.site/app/
-
Good job @Nyr with adding OpenVZ support
-
Some additional themes for Terminal. https://github.com/lysyi3m/macos-terminal-themes
-
(Quote) Definitely and so often the case with these donation type products and services. I don’t think buying someone a cup of coffee each year as thank you is much to ask.
-
Try this one for XFS https://help.directadmin.com/item.php?id=557
-
Native OSX Terminal. Don’t see the need for anything else
-
They don’t offer DirectAdmin but have reduced pricing on cPanel and Plesk if you are wanting a paid control panel.
-
(Quote) Definitely and they have kept the unlimited bandwidth by the looks of it. Good news if you want a US location. I thought they might have gone with NVMe in the GER locations but not sure they could do that with current specs and pricing. I’m…
-
Contabo have opened a US location, same plan specs but slight premium on the price depending upon the product chosen. https://blog.contabo.com/company/contabo-introduces-new-data-center-location-in-the-united-states/

You could add an icon with an external link to a web page or create a widget that Includes all the information using Evolution theme
-
@smtalk I see that incremental backups with Borg might be coming in 1.60.5. Will it be finished in time?
-
(Quote) My understanding is that if you have DA set for automatic updates it will renew all effected LE certs during the system cron update. If you don’t have auto updates I think they need to be renewed manually.

(Quote) 512MB is in stock in LUX. Sign up for an alert with https://buyvmstock.com/

As others have said great service and hardware. You get exactly what it says on the tin with them. I've been using them for nearly 2 years. I've have both a server from the VPS and RS line. I have emailed their support a couple times who have always…

@AK_KWH is DirectAdmin included?
-
I think their own category idea is great and would make it easier to browse - LES exclusive style but with being able to comment directly on the threads rather linking so people can share experience with the provider, benchmarks etc

Been having a little play around with the VPS512 in London. Nice little box. Spoke with @HM_Michael via chat last night about a couple of bits and all sorted out within 30 mins tops. On the chat he was quick to respond and honest in his replies abou…

(Quote) Yes you have to restart OLS for .htaccess changes to take effect. How there is a cron you can use to check for changes and then restart OLS automatically. LSWS doesn’t have to be restarted for .htaccess changes.
-
The htaccess compatibility can be a problem with OLS. Generally you can add all the usual rules but with a slight tweak. As I use most of the same rules across different websites with OLS I just created a custom file (thank you, DirectAdmin) and eve…

Regarding GDPR. My understanding is that any current EU Regulations, of which GDPR is, will be written into UK Law at the time of leaving the EU. As will all previous Directives adopted by the UK and statutory Regulations.
-
I’ll take it, if still available. Is the IPv4 clean?
-
HostDoc for me, because of the 2nd birthday presents they gave out to existing clients and the excellent service I receive from them.
-
(Quote) Absolutely agree. Go with Hetrixtools, you can monitor everything from there, setup different notifications to whatever platform you want and away you go.
-
@AnthonySmith in UK or @Francisco for other locations. I use them and highly recommend them. As for 512MB for DA. As Fran said it’s fine. Just add a 1GB swap and all will compile fine.
-
(Quote) If anyone interested location is apparently Kansas City
-
Start with BunnyCDN. They are cheap but performance is excellent. The team lead by Dejan are very responsive if you run into trouble.
-
I use CentOS for my DA servers due to its compatibility with other software such as CloudLinux/Imunify.
-
I’m not surprised at all. At that sort of money it will be another private equity firm who themselves will try to drive more money from their investment as you say and we will most likely see more prices rises on the horizon.
-
With all these brands closing down, who’s going to be left to advertise on LEB
-
(Quote) I thought I saw that hourly email limits had been added or was being added for the next release of DA.
-
In at last orders for the 256MB x 3 NAT BUNDLE. Cheers @AnthonySmith for the great offers on BF & CM.

@Lee thanks for the info with JetBackups for Linux. I have been waiting for JB to release the DA plugin but might just go with JetBackups for Linux and not be reliant on a specific panel based plugin.
