in Technical
As the Title requests, Can any one suggest a simple, light resource alternative to Nextcloud. That can be self hosted on below VPS Spec,
1GB Ram,
20GB Boot drive,
1TB HDD.
I been looking to de-onedrive.
Your Suggestion and installation procedures are 🙏.

Unfortunately you will not find anything better than nextcloud

My go to is

You can always go with onecloud, the original software nextcloud forked from. IMHO, both are not very stable...
If you can’t be kind, at least be vague.
@deepak_leb what are your use cases?

If you're looking for a simple, clean and lightweight option:
Filegator
But, depends on what you need it for. Nextcloud does a ton of things.

OwnCloud?
Seafile + s3 backend will be really good. But not sure if it run on 1 GB RAM.
I think it should be as long as the search function is disabled.
Simple use case. Need to store some files & iso’s.
And platform to sync my Mobile & PC files.
No other fancy things
Maximum - 2 users
Both are heavy mate. Especially for vps with 1GB Ram.
Both have performance issues
Simple rsync?
If you can’t be kind, at least be vague.

I use FileBrowser and happy with it. It's simple and supports Docker.

Sounds like Seafile would suit you just fine. When it comes to just syncing files it's really good and it has clients for both PC and mobile. Community edition completely free and even Pro edition is free for up to 3 users I think.
I used to run Nextcloud but when I realized that I was only using the filesync I switched to Seafile and I have never looked back.
Nextcloud is awesome if you need/want all the extra features and stuff, but I don't, I just want to sync files.
What about WebDAV with Caddy v2?
I'm using it for backups and it works good enough.
