PS is this how the discount codes are being dished out? I was honestly a bit confused by that chart and stuff... Because it seems like only 3 things will have discount codes but every line pretty much says 40% discount, so are the discount codes they mentioned would be released during the day on top of that other discount or instead of? Or shall I just wait and see?

Seriously though, I was just giving consolation prizes to the people that upon review I might have missed entering into the giveaway because I was celebrating Christmas with the kids and grand kids yesterday and did this last minute giveaway in a bit of a rush. These codes are separate and not part of the ClawCloud sale.
Regarding the discount codes for the ClawCloud Sale starting on January 9th. The original list does have discount codes for all the listed VMs. I just removed them before posting because my understanding is that ClawCloud is going to release the discount codes randomly during the period between January 9th and January 23rd.

Just for avoidance of doubt, I wasn't in any way complaining. The "RIGGED!" thing has become a massive meme this year on OGF and some people (and definitely me) would often add silly hyperbolic comments about how it was more rigged than $BLAH. I know you were there too, but I've not really said a lot on LES recently as I was in a kind of read-only mode until I saw the giveaway here after missing out, so my recent posting history looks like I was super obsessed with this deal!

Yeah, that was my question as the current deal is already 30-40 percent off and by using promo codes. I'll keep an eye out for any further promos, but I've just grabbed the $4.2/m deal to see how that works out for me.

So far ping.pe reports pretty good connectivity to China and only 3ms ping to my GreenCloud server in HK, so hopefully it'll work out well.
One thing to note is that from all locations the China optimised route is only IPv4 via leaseweb, and IPv6 goes via NTT instead. Ping times to both HK and China over IPv6 are significantly higher, roughly an extra 40ms.
