Xorek.cloud - VPS Germany 1 core, 8gb ram for 1.7 eur per month(recurring)

edited August 4 in General

Yet another deal from a Russian provider tunneling from Hetzner and offering very generous ram allocations on promo plans. It is also loseley connected to Aeza and serves the same clientele.
Official specs are 1 core(Xeon E5-1650v3), 8gb ram, 100Mbps unmetered bandwidth and 10GB nvme.

Network is a tunnel through Datapacket/Datacamp and Aurologic/Combahton via AS49418, all in Germany, so real latency isn't bad at all making their location a "real" one.

It takes ~6ms to reach real gateways

It is a fresh VM I got, so I do not know about long term performance and stability.
It overall feels very snappy and usable. They have been selling these boxes for quite a while, but I bought it just now.

Crypto and anonymous registration & purchase, are possible.

For that price honestly either deal with it or try contacting them for a custom payment method (most likely with a lot of fees)
Or use a CC middle man.

I recommend paying in crypto, wherever you can. It saves you money on processing fees(when paying with something like Litecoin or Monero, that doesn't really have transaction fees) and bypasses all the bureaucracy, sanctions etc.

Always use self-custodial wallets(where you hold the private key) for maximum freedom and true ownership of your coins.

Quick update, so far its been running great with an exception for 2h of downtime at 7 Aug.
Looks like their tunnel to Hetz was down, the VM wasn't rebooted or anything, so purely a network issue.

I have also ran benchmarks on RAM, and it looks like it isn't swap or other funny "replacement".
I have not used a significant amount of it for prolonged time period, but will do something like that soon and see if they complain.

Well, it was good while it lasted. My idler is about to explode or something.

I have never seen so much steal, the VM is barely usable, so I guess I will not proceed with testing long-term usage of ram as there is no point in it anymore.

I cannot recommend this deal, Aeza 1 eur deal is much more stable and performant.

  • Does Xorek have a. Vulcan cousin called Sarek
