Imagine having a "power interruption" after countless n+1 power redundancy upgrades :-D

Sounds the same like IPv4 shortage :-D
So, does your CPU changed? Do you have less RAM now or what? :-D
The same here. Tried the process of reinstallation, it hangs forever on: The process of rebuilding a VM is in progress. Please wait.

Tagging @Mason and @AuroraZero to remove the provider tag of @c1vhosting . I've got multiple emails of "we're upgrading our UPS stuff, expect downtime", and now an email of "we lost part of our config due to a power outage".
This is a joke. This provider should not be allowed to sell on here.
I now have to manually reinstall my vps due to a power outage (whilst they got UPSses apparently), while they cant even restore the old configuration for the VPS.
This provider is too problematic to host with, even given the price. Please /dev/null them.
Edit: seems like they are already not a provider anymore. Please add this to the pile of "why that was a good idea".

The provider tag was already pulled as you've seen.

Absolutely. It fits in the picture C1V is painting for himself. C1V has a problem, but the customer can try to re-install his system because of that.
As I stated some time ago, Luca is a scam, a fraud and shouldn't have a provider tag anywhere.

For a while today, c1vhosting's official website was inaccessible, along with the VPS you purchased from them. This suggests that c1v is truly providing their services on a 'best effort' basis, offering a service level at least comparable to that of their own website
"We have renewed our energy infrastructure to achieve greater redundancy (2N): almost all servers are now connected to two distinct energy sources and UPS. This improvement promises significantly better reliability than before.", post by c1vhosting on another forum.
Again!? How much power sources do these servers have now? Tier 11 ?
He might be right about energy and maintenance. The servers are extremely slow due to how overcrowded they are. In order to achieve profits on such very low prices, and within European Union, and at a time of recession when cost of living is going through the roof, the only solution is to oversell like crazy. This is precisely what he does: he oversells KVM to oblivion of kernels.
If one server goes down for maintenance, upon a simple reboot of a host all the VPS servers will try to reboot, creating a huge load and having a very slow reboot and likely many failures. It is like a cascade chain of events caused by overcrowding. To this add that some panicked customers will try to reinstall the server, creating even more load, while others do torrenting and seeding (even more load at boot time).
In short: it is a mess. I am not trying to excuse C1V in any way, shape, or form. I simply believe he does make profits from all this, so it makes sense to invest money in their registered business. After all: good publicity or bad publicity is still publicity. I hope for better services over time as business grows, but time will tell if it will implode or evolve.
I don't think he needs to make a profit. To me it looks like his hosting 'company' is just a hobby project.
You could be right. To me though it seems more than just a hobby. He went through the trouble of creating a company, buying hardware, setting up an actual datacenter, ASN, legal terms, and more. It all seems too much for just a hobby of grabbing some servers and renting overcrowded VPS in spare time. There is an actual business behind it all, so there's got to be profits too for declarations to Italy's fiscal system.
Yes, well, that—or money laundering. There, I said it.

I'm sorry for your awful uptime. I think less than 95% is almost unusable.
As for the "lies", yes, you are right as downtime still happens from time to time after so many "upgrades" or "redundancy". One may wonder what the differences are before and after all these improvements.
Anyway, I fail to grab any offers better than c1v's. There were many amazing offers during Black Friday which went out of stock in literally seconds while other poor providers terminated service in advance then disappeared. Yeah I know I can't expect too much for less than 10 dollars (one exception is web-horizon which is very stable and affordable).
I hope C1V continues its business.
Anyone using a C1V VPS and is satisfied with it must have absolutely no requirements for availability, reliability, or performance. I genuinely cannot believe that anyone is running anything of real importance on C1V.
If all you care about are specs on paper, then maybe C1V could be a fit, but even then, most of the specs are exaggerated or outright lies. Luca himself has stated that none of the resources are guaranteed—not RAM, CPU, disk, or bandwidth. And with today’s actions, it’s clear he wasn’t kidding. After taking my IP, he has now also taken the resources I supposedly had. It's absolutely bonkers that this kid has been able to operate like this for so long, but I'm glad the mods finally removed his provider tag.
I consider myself a patient person, but Luca managed to drive me nuts. Even if you try to follow his rules, he still changes them while you're in the middle of playing his game. For example, when I tried to cancel my VPS, I carefully read the Terms of Service (ToS) to ensure I did it correctly. It literally states, "If no cancellation has been made with at least 30 (thirty) days’ notice before the contract expiry by registered mail with acknowledgement of receipt, certified e-mail, or a request sent through the customer area in the ‘Ticket’ section..." (ToS Chapter 5). Nowhere does it say cancellation in the client area alone is sufficient. So I followed the ToS exactly, because, well—it's Luca we’re dealing with. Yet he outright refused to acknowledge my cancellation and responded evasively. You’re not his customer; you’re his toy.
If you check my profile on OGF, you'll see I've been in the LE* world for almost 13 years now. C1V/Luca takes the crown for the worst hosting provider by a massive margin in every aspect. And no, his age isn’t an excuse for everything.

A cancellation in their client area is not actually a cancellation? It will still generate invoice and renew?
Thanks for your kind hope. Mine is not affected as of now, while the uptime is still acceptable (> 97%), yet I'm not sure what will happen in the future.
This may be the first time I've seen such accident that the specs of customers' shrank after outage. Maybe it could alleviate people's dissatisfaction by upgrading the specs. Or C1V should extend those affected VPS by 2 or 3 months as somewhat compensation.

LOL... compensation. Promised (in public) after the christmas drama last year, never got it. Don't count on it.
But I'm not pretending that I want the compensation; my year of frustration is almost over and I have no intention to extend it in any way. After the IPv4 fun ("ask for a IP change, 2 weeks grace period", immediately followed by terrible connectivity (more off as on) and before the "grace period" was over dropping the original IP without contacting with a new one (i.e. effectively making the VPS not really usable anymore for lots of functions), the low availability in general (around 90%) it's been enough.
This incident (don't know if I'm affected, most likely not) is just another thing on the long list of inabilities of C1V. In my book, even if you have an issue that can't be resolved, you should do everything you can to have the customer have as little pain as possible.
What personally one of my main issues with C1V is, is that somewhere in the first half of this year he started to have the comment "not for production" and those kind of stuff - but also applying to customers (like me) who applied when that comment wasn't made, only things like "Tier 3 datacenter" (=garage), "Premium" and all that bla bla. That's why in my opinion he's a fraud, and he's lucky that Italian police have bigger priorities.

Dear Customer,
We are currently experiencing an issue with node POM2 due to a disk pool failure, resulting in service disruption. Our team is actively working on recovering the disks; however, this process may take several days.
We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause and appreciate your patience as we resolve the matter.

Fixed it for C1V:
"We are currently putting down node POM2 because our 'disk issue' on POM4 didn't have the desired effect of scaring of enough customers. So we're doing the same 'trick' on POM2. And if it doesn't have the result we want, we'll proceed with POM3."

Reinstallation successful, after some hours ( and a ticket ). It is back at 8Gb RAM & 2 cores

Yup, 25%+ cpu steal while syncing files back to it over ssh. About 20mbyte/s. Terrible.

Haven't touched their VPS since the IPv4 changes lmao. I thought they would change automatically but it seems that's not the norm for c1vhosting.
My crappy1vps aka c1v was changed to 1 vCore / 1 GB. The reinstallation fixed that, but lost current data.
Hopefully @bliss vps experience was much better than mine.
