for IMAP | POP3 email client, I use FairEmail github or f-droid version (previously, some restrictions with GPlay version). Off course, you have manually donate if you want to activate full-version, recommended since FairMail is actively develop and maintained (although, the Free version more than enough for casual user; just to unlock very advanced option that might rare to use). There are so many options to tweak if you like to playing-around (but PLEASE don't blame the Dev if no nice UI )
Still use old-version of AquaMail (bought GPlay unlocker to support original developer) use for accessing non-strict IMAP/POP services, hesitate to update since does not like revision after it being sold to other company.
Since proton apps does not support my old android 5.0 phone anymore, access protonMail with web browser.

My favorite is K-9 mail. Had before FairEmail but K-9 looks better.

eMClient looks promising. I also like AquaMail. (Not sure if I would go for it if I had to pay the current subscription pricing, though.)
Bluemail with imaps
