Fellow data hoarders!

Premium seedbox 'App Hosting' provider, UltraCC (formerly know as UltraSeedbox) have a set of new storage plans with hefty amounts of storage for a relatively low price. These plans are apparently limited and won't be offered again until folks cancel, and currently have a 20% recurring discount, which is unusual for UltraCC, the normally only do one-time discounts.

These are fully featured plans that allow Plex, Emby and Jellyfin, the only difference compared to the streaming plans is the upload is capped to 500Mbps (as opposed to a shared 50Gbps).

Their regular plans are also priced pretty well, and if you've only ever used PulsedMedia the difference in terms of stability and support is night and day.

  • What kind of disk speed do you usually get on those storage/streaming servers?

  • Looks very expensive, not a lowend.

This is cheap for a decent managed seedbox. Can you get 8TB storage attached to a VPS for less per month? Maybe.

No idea, never checked, I don't care about shit like that.

Edit: Ask support, they're very helpful.

What did you go for - one of the new storage plans?

8T Tank, yeah. Mirror my 10T from HH off-site in case of problem.

Ah. Yeah, tough break if you're not having the best experience with PM.

So far, it's still working beside some random restarts. Well, everything comes with a price isn't it? =)

Yup, for the price, there’s not a lot to complain about with PM, when it works, it works really well.
