For the people who uses chrome and is uninformed like me, just found out that there is a dark mode on chrome://flags/ -- I like it, no extensions.

Interesting. Took the liberty to copy and extend the lua (not the jit) script to measure the same with pypy -- crude, ran it on a new function with system(pypy a.py) on my notebook (not a vm).

Yes, only on all of my home devices and only on some of my servers

I echo yoursunny's thoughts, you should be loading your data to RAM directly without the ancient TMPFS layer. NVMe's architecture is direct-mapped to cpu/chipset almost like RAM. And gen4 is crazy f…

Big chunk of memory missing. Look for something strange on /var/log/dmesg. For comparison, this is my 1G ubuntu 22.04 free tier:
