Bought nothing yet this BF/CM. Not really a fan of flash sales, never hyped. I'd enjoy more if I could just sign up for a deal, chill and let the provider or moderators randomly choose the winners. Or just buy something cheaper than usual, with plen…

Kinda super late, here's what I want. HDD storage with IPv6 only or IPv4 NAT, has to be KVM/Xen. Low spec server with huge amount of traffic, not on Hetzner or OVH or Scaleway. Both mentioned in my old posts.

(Quote) I think I once read about that in a thread but I can't find it anymore.

(Quote) Don't have critical task, typically running a game server with little CPU spikes, and compiling software like LineageOS and some APKs. (Quote) Thanks, will check Avoro. (Quote) So they also enable HT, right? Now, Netcup/PHP-Friends/Avoro/…

Very German.

(Quote) ~26TB in + ~25TB out is what vnstat -m typically gives, on a dedicated 100m server.

(Quote) I think inbound is always free and truly unmetered? I'm really tired of seeking hidden rules when looking for servers. I understand due to human costs, some providers have little to none knowledgebases, even poorly written FAQs. Maybe we st…

(Quote) I donate to FSF EFF Tor regularly, still wanna dedicate some money to Tor relays.

Good luck getting FOSS firmwares and drives :( For my hobbies, definitely turning to RISC-V.

I always get scared when I see "Unmetered Bandwidth" for a low price. Though I admit BuyVM is rock solid, I'd rather prefer "unthrottled X TB traffic @Y mbit, then capped @Z mbit" style. Since I'm running network intensive servic…

(Quote) $3.75 2 TB CN2 GIA? Even in Singapore? Is it recurring? Saw this on that page (Quote)

(Quote) (Image) https://s3.fr-par.scw.cloud/www-scaleway/wp-content/uploads/2020/03/06112004/cold-storage_simple-diagram-2.png Yes, I need to transfer to object storage first, so the correct question should be, Scaleway Object Storage + CF free out…

Many tests on Psychz's looking glass not working either. Sigh, why most providers' looking glasses just suck?

(Quote) I was using an outdated lg for LA, when I tried to connect to lg.la.letbox.com, I found 80 refused and 443 certificate expired, that's all. For the Dallas one, the issue is lacking IPv6 support. I assume the Dallas one is from Psychz too?
-
(Quote) lg.la.letbox.com seems neither LA or DL supports https though, but your LA web server listens to 443 and has an invalid certificate. Dallas lg IPv4 works, but IPv6 version not working, not ping6 or mtr6 or tracerouter6. psychz is much better…

Nice offer. BUT 2 TB (2000 usable) $5.00 USD 3 TB (3000 usable) $5.00 USD What? And the looking glass never worked, down for more than 1 year., LA 80 port closed, certificate expired.

(Quote) I never said req. 3 needs to be cheap, I would even consider if it's as high as $5/T/m and IPv6 latency to CERNET ~50ms. It must be KVM, can be NAT IPv4, only need <20% thread, 512MB RAM, can be 100Mbps link. I know you peer HKIX, but mo…

(Quote) I know only Hetzner Online.net Netcup Contabo can do that. I didn't expect much though, just posted it here, it's for running Tor middle relays, so pretty much charity. If anyone allows Tor exit node with reduced exit policy, like BuyVM, ple…

10mbit/s is just a waste for dedicated IPv4 resources., I can go with that, but why would you? Better 100mbit dedicated with 20% thread 1GB RAM for $6/m. Please note, my requests are separated, no need so much traffic for req. 3.
-
(Quote) True, and I'd pay $1/m for that, plus some dedicated IPv4 and 10% thread 512MB RAM, total ~ $1.5/m.

Any looking glass? Can I run a Tor middle relay? It would continue to fully utilize 50/100 Mbit/s after the 1Gbps quota is exceeded. So it would be ~18TB for 1GB plan and ~36TB for 2GB plan.
