Agree with @bikegremlin - some lifetime deals are ok if they are actually calculated in. Filen removes them based on amount of subscriptions vs lifetimes as far as I'm aware and they only really offer them on BF (apart from the small 100GB one). I'…

(Quote) Normal pricing is below, they do BF deals though (both monthly & lifetime) and most of the time do a lifetime 100GB at 29.99 eur. (all stackable). (Image) annual is 10x the montly price.

(Quote) afaik they moved to a new DC with their own hardware I believe last year. I can't remember which one it was from the top of my head though. edit: Some info here and more further back - https://blog.filen.io/status-update-february-2025/#Inf…

I've been using it for a while as a secondary - I have a lifetime + subscription on top. I like the new web interface they released, but development on things is very slow (due to a very small team) and the mobile app is being completely rewritten. …

(Quote) I imagine it's either just a lie or they use Backblaze B2 with encryption enabled.

(Quote) By the looks of it, they've basically made no changes to the original script apart from the logo too...

(Quote) It does, it has all of the payments etc built in through PayPal & Stripe. I own a copy from a few years back. They even sell a mobile app that can connect to your copy of it, so I'm surprised they are not using that also. (Quote) They a…

(Quote) It's just currently using a premade script from Codecanyon using one of the implemented backends. I remember seeing it advertised on Reddit previously and there was mixed feedback. (Quote) I believe they use Backblaze - or at least they did…

Apart from the servers like subsonic etc, there's also this: https://github.com/koel/koel still actively maintained for quite a while.

(Quote) It will continue to work as normal, it's being retired 2026 so the full year will be usable. I don't see how a PayPal dispute would ever be an answer unless they deadpooled with no contact...

I had two, but gave one away already on the OGF - currently have one left in LIM, but I'd likely hold onto it to be honest as I was planning on using them. I presume stock will come back soon hopefully though.

(Quote) Similar situation, no longer have services, but I used them for a long time - sad to see them go even if they are merging it. Searched through my emails and I seemed to have services going back 7 years now. (Image)

(Quote) I just got accepted into it, but haven't used it yet! Will set something up in a little bit to do some testing. Screens (Image)

Thanks for tagging - will definitely have a look!

(Quote) Slightly off the topic, but I have a 5 at home that I run from an NVMe using one of the HATs to avoid SD cards, been running that for a while now and I find it makes quite a big difference in use!

(Quote) I was going to go for a few, but ended up just with a single IP when I purchased it. It's now just used as a development box when I need somewhere to potentially break things! Haven't really had any issues, the only downside I can think of …

Still happy with my lifetime dedicated from Zap. I got the Xeon E5-2640v2, 64 GB RAM, 1x 240 GB SSD for ~£420 and it's been running fine for over a year now (purchased May 2023).

(Quote) Might not be far off from this post on LET asking for feedback. The guy has Hypere on his profile who he has worked for before...

(Quote) I just saw that I've got access to this now too, so will try this along side it!

(Quote) Interesting that it defines a different website before itself with the same name. So far I'm finding it OK - I do prefer ChatGPT at the moment with some of the responses I get back, but will keep using it for the next few weeks when I get b…

Thanks for that - I've just signed up using the link which worked fine! I currently use ChatGPT for certain things at work which has been good so far, so will have to see how it compares.
