(Quote) Carry the gas with you then. Why has no one thought of this?
-
(Quote) You can still get there within hours, just drive REALLY fast

(Quote) I knew a few people who did this, I always sort of wanted to. Can't live without great internet so I wasn't able. Maybe when electric RVs become a thing and Starlink gets better...

Every time this idiot bumps their ticket, it's sent to the back of the queue. No wonder they haven't gotten a reply yet.

At this point I can't tell if the average Uber driver is better at handling servers than Hivelocity's remote hands are, so I'd say it's not a horrible idea. Uber driver could always just steal the hardware if it's going unaccompanied though.

(Quote) Not yet, I'll let @VirMach know if I get anything back.

(Quote) Already raised it with Steve, so you don't need to (but you can, if you want)

(Quote) SJC is Dedipath/Internap. Pretty sure HiV is aware at this point.

(Quote) It is consistently terrible and almost never worth it. Only ever consider colo if you have some weird need that can't be fulfilled by a generic dedi. Alternatively, pick a datacenter near your home and do all the moderately complex tasks you…

(Quote) Makes sense, telmex is connected to telexius so I can see where the routing would be better.
-
(Quote) That's interesting for me since I've seen the opposite on my end. Then again a lot of my traffic goes back into the states. If you're connecting from south america/mexico then I can see Miami being better since QN has Telexius in their blend…

(Quote) Probably no luck on that front.

(Quote) Hope you're back up soon!

@bakageta still seeing issues with your San Jose box? Seems like mine is completely fine so I don't think it's a widespread issue (or maybe I just slept through the downtime lol)
-
I try to avoid going with LW direct anyways. Shit support, capped network, just not worth it. Oftentimes they're more expensive than Walker anyways. Stock is an issue but once you get a box it's hard to dump it.
-
I cant wait for V6, maybe I won't have to tunnel anymore!
-
(Quote) Agreed, might be an issue there. As much as I love the idea it might not be the best plan to let people make their own specials. I feel like it'll just boost the account resellers.

(Quote) I don't see WHMCS having proper access control so I doubt it, at least on the provider's side.
-
(Quote) Maybe to seperate dev from prod, or personal from business account? I can see valid uses but I doubt many (if any) people are doing it properly.

(Quote) hoping for free 32G

(Quote) Killer deal there for sure! I'll probably be grabbing some storage VMs for a few projects (VirCDN anyone?)

(Quote) I don't think that's a valid pizza topping
-
(Quote) What's your favorite pizza topping? Mine's pepperoni and olives.

I got all excited, but guess I'll have to wait for that order button to function. Looks like some great deals coming up though!

(Quote) Order #17356, double bandwidth please

(Quote) It's tough and honestly 2G is probably fine. I just feel bad about using 70% of the whole node's uplink for hours at a time and will happily pay a bit extra to be a slightly better neighbor.
-
For what it's worth I'd also love the chance to pay a little more for 10G. It's awesome having that sort of burst.
-
(Quote) Decent amount but basically anyone who runs these on a normal VPS is being abusive.
-
(Quote) Yep, I mentioned this was before your panel refresh (and I think you had private networking back then). I know the new panel is all in house, and for what it's worth it's probably my favorite VM host panel I've used :) Unless you're saying t…

(Quote) VirBot pulls all the strings in the background. VirMach is just the PR guy.

(Quote) hopefully good news for all my backups

(Quote) get 4 and get the whole node to yourself :sunglasses:

(Quote) $65 it is then  I need that NVMe for fast backups lol
