Happy birthday @mikho! ???

@mikho @Mason May I suggest closing this thread? The problem has already been reported and addressed. I think we would not see anything positive coming from it only more drama. Let's leave this to somewhere else. ?☮

(Quote) I guess most people storage-focused use it as benchmark. I find it very hard to beat. Ask @Falzo LetBox 2vcpu E5, 2GB RAM, 20GB NVMe + 3TB HDD $7/m is still my ideal combination. It's versatile enough to run a few storage applications that …

(Quote) I'm sure you'd fill a server in hours with an offer like that.

(Quote) A HostHatch or LetBox challenger? 3TB $84/yr ;)

Since we are on the topic of polemic suggestions, may I suggest Discourse? :p

Congratulations ?

Thank you @dahartigan. Interesting example using Wireguard. It would probably work with OpenVPN as well. It seems x-systemd.automount is the way to go. :)

Thank you for your notes @havoc. In my case the permissions are working fine. If I run a mount -a everything works. The problem is mounting the share at boot time.

Congrats @Mason. Get some rest @AnthonySmith. I hope you get well soon.

I nominate @Mason, @seriesn and @FAT32 Why: All 3 have proved to be level headed, moderate and made positive contributions to the communities they participate. PS: @Falzo and @Ympker would also be good options, but they have opted out above.

This one is not strictly a SBC because of the removable DIMMs but I found this project interesting: https://www.udoo.org/udooboltgear/ Technical Specs: (Spoiler) https://www.udoo.org/docs-gear/Introduction/Introduction.html (Image)

But Can It Run Crysis? :p

Yes, I'm suspicious as well. I'm betting on RockyLinux as an alternative. They should have a "CentOS 8" equivalent release later this year.

I've been running BorgBackup for a few years now. It's my main solution to backup offsite. I usually install borg on both the source and storage and let it do the transfer via SSH. I've never used Duplicity but read some complaints of instability o…

I also don't use the tags or categories. I mostly access the discussions from the main page and then click on the logo to return. If I need anything specific I use the search box. I don't use Discord, but happy with the plugin in the sidebar if it'…

As a replacement solution for Google services NC is a good alternative, but as havoc said it's not a backup solution.
