(Quote) Soon ™ Edit: The superscripted TM isn't loading..?
-
(Quote) Probably something to do with that exact 512GB model.
-
(Quote) It's not an opinion, it's a fact :P. Then again, I did that mistake in my first host, a few years back.
-
Having more vCPUs/vCores on a VM than logical CPUs on the host is a big no no, some hypervisors actively try to stop you from doing that, as it brings the performance down.
-
(Quote) Yep, however, a friend of mine was told that Hetzner doesn't to have anything in stock other than those Samsung NVMes. :frown:
-
(Quote) I really don't know if there's anything to troubleshoot at all when an NVMe fails, and I got this response from support: thank you for your inquiry. Please note, that there are no known issues with the regarding NVMes. Hence, we assume an i…

(Quote) Similar experience with ours too, glad to know it's an issue with the NVMe itself. Just to confirm, it's this right: MZVLB512HAJQ?
-
(Quote) Ah gotcha, they're 1TB or more ig. These are 500GB ones.
-
(Quote) By any chance, do you have the same model of NVMe drives? (SAMSUNG MZVLB512HAJQ-00000 ). And here's the proc/mdstat output: root@node ~ # cat /proc/mdstat Personalities : [raid1] [linear] [multipath] [raid0] [raid6] [raid5] [raid4] [raid10]…

(Quote) It's not Hetrix, I just have a script that checks the SMART stuff. /proc/mdstat was normal, nothing odd on there.
-
 Dear Clientthank you for your inquiry. Please note, that there are no known issues with the regarding NVMes. Hence, we assume an issue, related to the type of usage/software on your servers. Welp, no luck there, it's just Proxmox running…

(Quote) I've opened a ticket with Hetzner specifically for this (probably should have done that first), I'll update here if I get any useful response from them. Meanwhile, tagging @Hetzner_OL to grab their attention.
-
(Quote) AFAIK, Hetzner uses PCIe raisers/extenders to plug the NVMe drives in, might be smth on there.
-
Out of curiousity, are you sure v4 forwarding is enabled?
-
(Quote) That's mildly concerning
-
(Quote) /s?
-
(Quote) Haha, I didn't intend it to be (edited the title like twice), but it caught me as well when I saw it first

(Quote) lol (Quote) They are not my sites

Welp, ended up going with OVH. Thanks for the suggestions and the memes :joy: !

I feel like we need reactions in Vanilla, some of the responses are too damn funny lol.

(Quote) Whoops, my bad. I've edited my original post. DMCA ignored would be a nice to have thing, but if I'd have to choose between DDoS protection and that, I'd go for DDoS prot as ignoring DMCA isn't really needed.

(Quote) Thanks a ton, I'll give that a go after WHMCS reissues my Dev license. (Quote) No problem mate, I greatly appreciate your help. I was stuck on a dead end on this, you've helped me out a lot
-
The only workaround I've found till now was to set the WHMCS system URL to an http URL.
-
(Quote) Changed it to this, but no luck. location / { proxy_http_version 1.1; proxy_set_header Host $host; proxy_set_header X-Real-IP $remote_addr; proxy_set_header X-Forwarded-For $proxy_add_x_forwarded_for; proxy_set_header…

YAU (yet another update): Their new replaced disk has reallocated sectors. This is too much to deal with lol, for a $50/mo server. The company is Virmach, if you want to buy a dedicated server from them, be careful. On a side note, their DDoS prote…
-
Update: Got the other disk replaced on the server (both disks were dying, so got them replaced one by one), and guess what, it directly booted from their "new" disk into another system that was on the disk lol.

(Quote) Yeah it sucks, not my server, so I can't do much unfortunately, apart from suggesting the client to switch. There aren't many value options in US either, from what I've seen.
-
(Quote) Does that mean you have to put in the passphrase everytime you reboot a server?
-
(Quote) Personally, I feel it's the responsibility of the provider to erase all data on a drive before re assigning it to another customer. Also I believe this is violating their Privacy Policy. ?
-
(Quote) Fair enough, afaik, they have a plan to make it paid sometime in the future (about $1/mo iirc..?) They probably will get something done then I believe.

I've completely moved over to Debian 9 for DA, and pretty much everything else. CentOS was really too much of a security risk to deal with in a lot of cases (extreeemely slow security updates). I would love to see this change in CentOS 8, but until …

(Quote) To be honest, if it were open source one can technically get it audited themselves, but it being closed source doesn't help :(
-
I tried doing it before, but had to give up because my sound and GPU were in the same IOMMU group. If you get that figured out, the rest of it is pretty easy.

(Quote) NixOS does the work of ansible there, you can deploy everything from just a singl;e config file.
-
(Quote) I started using it after facing several stupid issues with Virtualmin. The UI is really fast and clean, and seems to just work so far. I'd like to have nginx support though
