(Quote) Good to know, well, as expected, the free maxmind db is crap but the paid one seems good.
-
(Quote) Yea ip-api.com is way better.
-
(Quote) You can use https with them, I just stumbled across them. Open your browser developer console. It makes a https call right, so it does support https. You can't call curl 'https://demo.ip-api.com/json/1.1.1.1' But what if you just copy th…

(Quote) Your HK is way worse than mine. I also got a Yearly 12$/y one different node, I get outages once or twice a month.

(Quote) Since 1 year ago. 99.9210%

(Quote) Well, I only use them as packet forwarding device, so meh.

Tried https://ipgeolocation.io/api/ipgeolocation big sucky, got a bunch of my servers incorrectly placed. Since I fetch them per machine, IP limit isn't an issue but still. edit: duh, ipinfo has it right, time so switch, brb.

(Quote) Well, the free Maxmind geo db is meh, there are better ones. https://db-ip.com/ Maxmind has a lot of spots with no data, db-ip has at all. On accuracy well, they all suck, some suck less.
-
Not really that I am aware off. Either its limited as you say or inaccurate. Even if you pay, there is no best, they only have like xx% accuracy anyway.

(Quote) My Akile has like 800GB of traffic, which 200GB gets burned for the mesh, cuz why not.
-
(Quote) Depends, JP seems to be the most stable, SG and HK seem to have monthly outages followed by TW. Like 5 minutes, however I pay only 0.80€ for my JP and 1.20€ for my Taiwan so.
-
(Quote) Depends what you need, my Akile HK is 10€/y with IPv4 and like 1TB traffic. If its just for VPN usage, as cheap as possible anyways.

Proxy with NAT is probably a bad idea. To many users using that single IPv4, its already flagged as "bot" at google and cloudflare, whatnot. Browsing is not gonna be a nice experience. You better of spending that 3$ to a hooker and regre…
