(Quote) Only you can answer that! Sure is a better deal than the one that I cancelled (a BF2021 at nearly twice the cost and less RAM).
-
(Quote) Arrgh! I'd have taken that, if NY and still able to transfer. ((Just cancelled one of my AMS servers, leaving me with 10.))

^ If multi-IP, then defo :'(

(Quote) I expect/hope mine lasts longer than me! :) :open_mouth:

(Quote) I'm always in awe of guys like you and @bikegremlin when it comes to your comms. skills. :astonished: The quoting of .. (Quote) .. was primarily to save confusion, due to the typo.

Gonna wanna keep my sig intact. ;)

(Quote) Bonus points for non-Americanized (sic) spelling. An interesting quick read (excluding the code), that (IMHO) is well written/formatted. A few corrections.. ;) (Quote) --> (Quote) (might read a bit better) (Quote) (said phonetically? ;…

(Quote) I've been through this pain. Ended up with IPFW more down to the (potential) integration with Webmin, than any other reason.

(Quote) Sorry to rub it in: not the brightest of moves. This is why I explicitly say to clients to register domains in their own name, even if it means I need to "handhold" them to do so. Virmach has been swamped for quite some time but t…

(Quote) My bad, I'm old skool: (Quote) I tweak the superblock allocation on some filesystems to eke out a little more space egs. tune2fs -m0 /dev/system-backups and tune2fs -m1 /dev/system-tmp Typically, I don't reduce root, however.

Has @VirMach got his mojo back? :dizzy: I even got a response to an old rDNS Ticket!

I use hybrid on my own VPSes and whatever is set for MXRoute/OnePoundEmail i.e I don't change from the provider's default.

(Quote) In the context of; paste in your content with it all highlighted, then select Spolier. You've sussed it though. :)

It'd be handy/useful to others if you wrapped those outputs in spoiler tags. ;)

I reckon that you've answered your own question; hardware, with the proviso that you purchase the identical controller at the same time, to circumvent supply/firmware revision issues should the need arise.

I'll hazard a guess that @VirMach is conserving burnout energy (rightly so!) by not responding on here, though periodically has a wee look to see what y'all moaning about. ;)

(Quote) I did at one point have issues with the 14.1 template but since have managed to boot it up. I had to manually configure the network, as DHCP wasn't working (from the cloud-init template?). Seems to be OK at the moment apart from locking myse…

(Quote) Fair point, though a text console is fine. ;)

^Thought I had/have mentioned a simpler way! :p

^ Thought it was just me: I ended up template installing Debian, then restoring my FreeBSD backup. I did intend to start FreeBSD from scratch, using ext4 rather than ZFS 'cos one can shrink/resize ext4.

^ interesting; even I got it to boot under Proxmox but unfortunately I can't seem to emulate a 64-bit Intel on my lowend AMD FX.. ;)

^ Figured just to wget then untar from online binary/sets

There doesn't appear to be a NetBSD package for qemu-guest-agent - seeing if I can build one from source - don't hold yer breath! :anguished: :astonished: 1st stumbling block: the basics! (Quote) Though one needs to guess the procedure, other than…

Now on Ryzen - yahoo! :dizzy: Thanks @linveo (I thought it might have been a more lowly AMD.) I booted from a manually mounted NetBSD ISO, setup partitions and tried autoconfigure/DHCP. DHCP wouldn't assign the public IP etc., so needed to manually …

^ I've powered down and willing to start from scratch too. Given location is across The Pond, then anywhere will do ( though CA is never good due to the prominence of Asian traffic). :| (Quote) I would've too had I found a replacement job, post red…
