Firefox Relay- Paid Service
I have been using the "free" (upto 5) email addresses from Firefox that relay messages to my gmail. (e.g. [email protected] ---> [email protected])
I like it so far, and today I saw the option of :Unlimited: relay / email accounts as a paid subscription from FF. Nearly 1 US dollar a month, so not too bad a price point.
Screenshot from order form:
Given that there are many other fine options- Cloudflare, Duckduckgo, and even apple (paid) - would you consider the FF Relay? What merits/ demerits do you see?

Duckduckgo?
UpCloud free $25 through this aff link - Akamai, DigitalOcean and Vultr alternative, multiple location, IPv6.

dnscry.pt - Public DNSCrypt resolvers hosted by LowEnd providers • Need a free NAT LXC? -> https://microlxc.net/
If you would ask this on WHT, maybe, but here? 0.99$ for a glorified mail forwarding device? per month? Hell no.
MXRoute is 5-10$/y and you have other options too, not to speak of running your own email catching and forwarding server on a 5-6$/y VPS?

There’s also https://simplelogin.io/pricing/
I have since stopped using the above and apples iCloud+ stuff to make my own self hosted addresses

It doesn't make much sense if you have your own domain, the problem with these privacy oriented relay services is since the domain is well-known it will be blocked where you really need it.
I dont like the idea of using a relay mail service.
Everyone can see what is inside your email if it is not encrypted.
Just have a good spam protection will do okay.

Vyas any chance you have a duckduck email invite code? I have been waiting for months!
Team push-ups!
To be fair, if you are using a Mail service specifically to anonymise yourself you are probably going to also use a pseudonym when leaving a review

If you're just after checking which service sends spam, just use
[email protected]
Not entirely fool-proof since spammers can easily take out this extra string and it does not provide anonimity, but it allows for searching your inbox quickly and tagging emails properly.

Interesting...
Cloudflare manages Apple Relay Service?
https://9to5mac.com/2022/03/02/how-does-icloud-private-relay-work-apple-partner-cloudflare-explain

Yeah, Cloudflare (and I believe Akamai) handle private relay. But this is the internet relay/proxy service, not email forwarding.
Apple's mail thing is called "Hide My Email" and they run it themselves.
