Took a while but LES emails are now served by MXRoute!

Just a little update that I finally got around to switching the forum email away from mandrilapp and over to MXroute so no more annoying tracking links and things should go into peoples inboxes now when using gmail etc.

Any mail issues let me know here but I am sure everything will be fine.

Thanks @jarland of MXroute, I have been taking screen shots as I go to do a howto write up for the main site blog.

Cool, I don't use it but it's obvious Jarland 'knows his stuff' about email. Would anyone recommend it as a move away from gmail? Main reason for asking, is if there's any spam filtering.

Slight concern for me it's a one man show still (I think?) but I'd happily pay someone other than Google ~$50/y for simply email (with some spam filtering)

I'd recommend a carrier pigeon over Gmail, but as it goes MXroute has been a very good replacement.

Don't forget SPF and DKIM for it. For SPF add any of these three, your choice:

include:mxroute.com
include:mxlogin.com
include:_s00002163.autospf.email

The last one reduces DNS lookups by 1 from the two above it.

Then DKIM for Cloudflare:

We were two but dropped back down to 1 so that I could pay my salary. Plan is to add another next year and then keep scaling up as long as the growth allows it. Until then should something happen to me, Christine has all legal standing and Ryan can step in.

In the meantime, I continue to work more and more on automation and alerting to ensure that even when I sleep, my work continues to perform itself in the same way that I would were I staring at a monitor. Alerting for when it can't. Frankly I'm not far off from the entire operation resolving it's own problems, alerting customers of mitigated issues, and scaling itself up as needed. I've made some major advances toward that this week alone, and I also have 3 phones next to my bed to ensure that the only way I can't wake up for an outage is if I die in my sleep.

Surely I can at least live long enough to hire that next person though

You'll want to remove the quotations before and after the DKIM key on CF. Their parser does this weird thing and ends up adding an additional set so it looks like "\" at the beginning and \"" at the end.

Yeah i already did that once I noticed, even CF caches shit for 60 seconds or so I guess

Yeah use any of them. I use autospf to save me time dealing with flattening SPF (was a bigger deal when we had more includes) and my domains just include what they give me.
