Exciting Changes: YetiNode Joins Forces with MicroNode!

Hey everyone! We’re thrilled to announce that YetiNode will be stepping in to carry forward the incredible work of MicroNode. Having been part of this community for so long, we couldn’t be more honored to take on this role and help shape the future together.

What does this mean for you? Not much will change! Your current plans will stay exactly the same. Over the next year, we’ll work hand-in-hand with MicroNode’s original owner to ensure a seamless transition. They’ll remain deeply involved to make sure everything runs smoothly and stays true to what you know and love.

We’re committed to preserving the strong foundation MicroNode has built while finding ways to grow and improve alongside you. This community is at the heart of what we do, and we’re so excited to embark on this new chapter with all of you.

As always, we’re here if you have any questions or feedback. Let’s move forward together!

From a personal data standpoint as I know this will be asked - anyone that does not renew this time around will have their account and personal details removed within 30 days from the expiration date - your details will not be transferred to Yetinode.

For clients that do renew nothing will change until somewhere between November 2025 and January 2026 when we will finalise the transition/handover - prior to this anyone that does want to transition to the Yetinode ran Micronode will need to accept a new terms of service agreeing to your data being moved to the new owner.

No personal details will be shared without consent.

I will be locking renewals, signups and purchases at the end of December (2024) whilst the remainder of the transition is worked out.

I will be working with @AuroraZero from now until then and progress will be very transparent.

Open to any questions and feedback along the way.

Massive thanks to @AuroraZero for agreeing to continue the hard work that has been invested into Micronode over the years.

My pleasure it is a great project and deserves to live on. I know from my standpoint I hope to make the transition as smooth as possible with minimal interruptions.

I believe in good luck. Harder that I work ,luckier i get.

  • Nice to see a familiar face joining up and taking the reins for the customers. I don't have any MicroNode services currently but this almost makes me wish I did, lol. Perhaps after the dust settles and everything moves over I will check out the YetiNode offerings!

    YetiNode has no paid services.
So it's basically another microLXC but insecure OpenVZ 7 and tightened /128?

I can’t answer for the future after my ownership but it’s a mixture of OVZ7 and LXC currently. The panel supports OVZ7, tested with the OVZ9 beta and KVM.

OpenVZ 7 is still receiving security updates until December 2026, the ideal path is OpenVz 9 is released making it a very easy migration although getting across to LXC isn’t overly difficult especially over a 14 month transition period to @AuroraZero

Umm I have no services that are commercially available here. Secondly no one said this would be free. Lastly if it is decided to change the backend architecture it will be announced.

Right at this particular moment as @Micronode has stated there is no change warranted and many more important things to work out.
