These modern platforms offer extensive features and ease of management, which makes them incredibly popular.

These OS versions offer an excellent and user-friendly interface, support for virtual desktops, compatibility and support with modern technologies (for example, DirectX 12)

Automatic update hell is a very extensive feature IMO.

  • I don't really know if it's actually legit to post this offer like this here. Using Windows 10 or any other version in a datacenter in the way you do it, it's against MS license agreement and thus illegal, so would be your offer. Do you have a corresponding volume license agreement with them (would be required to specify on the website)?

  • I happened to notice the new Windows templates yesterday. Basically all plans with 4+GB of memory now have Win 10/11.

I do not recommend using Windows 10 (or 11) unless it is enterprise edition

Windows Server 2022 has all the features of windows 10, but far more stable and secure and designed to run 24x7.

Windows Server 2025 has same look and feel of windows 11.

    • I can run SQL server database engine on 1 GB Windows VPS. Same configuration is not possible on 1 gb Linux VPS.
    • Windows RDP is far more smoother and resource optimized.

It all depends and is oriented towards user experience! We already have several clients who have tried these OS versions for themselves and are satisfied. Everyone is ready to choose for themselves, it is nice when there is an opportunity to test several versions and their responsiveness in the VPS environment, especially since AVA.Hosting offers quick reinstallation of the OS B)

Regular Windows 10 and 11 editions can not be installed on VPS as per Microsoft licensing terms.

RAM is one important part while running Windows OS and 4 gb+ memory helps in better responsiveness experience.

Also, in addition, is equally important factor is, single core computing power for vCPU. Usually I recommend running Windows OS when at least 2 vCores with single core GB6 score of 1000+.

What is the CPU kind of 2 vCores and their typical GB6 score?

Single core GB6 score around 900 (if not oversold) and multi core score around 1500

Not a very good choice for running Windows OS. EYPC and Ryzen based VPS will offer far better and smoother Windows experience.

If you rip almost everything out on windows 11 and turn it into the strongest magnet for botnet malware you can get it to run under 1gb.

Standard install of Windows 11 enterprise edition works in 1 GB memory provided VPS has 2 vCore Ryzen 5/9 series and NVMe storage.

For windows, the most important factor is single core computing power aka GB6 score.

    1 vCPU Ryzen 7950x / 1 GB memory running windows 11 enterprise

Of course, you can use it on a Ryzen processor, and it will most likely be more productive. However, we tested and got some good results using the E5-2683 v4

So as a customer if I get VPS offer for $6 / month with windows licensing included, that would be a much better offer

of course, since you are offering low computing vCore, you will justify with "got some good results".

As a customer, would you prefer a VPS for 9 euros/month with E5-2683 v4 or would you rather prefer a VPS with ryzen cpu vCore for 5 euros/month.

I would look at a combination of factors, like location, support level, bandwidth, uptime and availability. I wouldn't limit my criteria to just the CPU name and price.
