Processor Selection for BrncHost's New Physical Server
As part of our ongoing efforts to enhance the performance and capabilities of our services at BrncHost, we are in the process of selecting a processor for our new physical server. This server will be equipped with 512 GB of RAM and 15 TB of M.2 NVMe SSD storage, ensuring high-speed data access and significant storage capacity.
However, we find ourselves at a crossroads regarding the choice of the processor. After thorough consideration, we have narrowed our options to two candidates: the Intel E5-2699 V4 and the AMD EPYC 7401P. Each of these processors offers distinct advantages, and we seek your expertise to determine which would be the most suitable for our needs.
We would greatly appreciate your support and comments to guide us in making an informed decision. Your insights will be invaluable in helping us choose the processor that will best meet our performance, efficiency, and scalability requirements.

We opened 2 topics to analyze. There is no situation where we will spam. Our 1st topic is for analysis purposes and our 2nd topic needs support in processor selection and support is needed in this regard. 3. We would appreciate it if you do not use terms such as summer host as a summer host because we will make this company a company that will have continuity. what is Intel's advantage?

We were very surprised by the strong processor performance and thought that it would not cause any problems in long term use, so I wanted to ask you.
Why M.2 storage for Servers?
M2 was our choice because it is more performant and offers a faster experience to users And because it is a newer generation, it played the biggest role in our choice

M.2 make lot of troubles , problems with firmware , random slow , SSDs dead random etc... , Desktop NVME it's not recommended put to servers

Thank you for your comment. We hadn't passed our disk orders yet. We will provide a little more research and make our preference clear and collect our physical. What will be your comment for the processor?
For servers you need U.2 or HHHL , no M.2
About CPU , depend how many cores you sell per VPS , what prices etc...
Various pricing options are available on Brnchost.com. This is currently a rough outline. We haven't done anything to clarify etc. Do you think your recommendation would be in favor of E5 or AMD?

M.2 can be okay if it's an actual enterprise M.2--but generally, as a host that needs serviceability: U.2. Hotswap, customers never get interrupted, everyone is happy. Lessons learned from way early on. Some chassis it is unavoidable, but absolutely go enterprise M.2 unless its a custom dedi build for a specific customer.
Between those CPUs? 2699 v4 all day. Especially because you'll probably be running 2 of them. That's way too much RAM and disk for a 24-core Zen1, or I need to start overselling a hell of a lot more. Broadwell platform is still amazing value:dollar and all the supporting gear for it (chassis, replacements, etc) are extremely cheap. If you can't go Zen2/3, go with 2696/2699 or 2698 v4.
