  • My best deal of 2023 is from Naranjatech's BFD 2023 flash sale.

    Provider: Naranjatech
Product: NVME-8GB-BF23 from Black Friday 2023 -- AMD Epyc "Genoa"
Specifications: 8GB RAM 4 EPYC 9554P CPUs 200GB NVMe 20TB Bandwidth at 2.5Gbps (100Mbps unmetered after used up)
    Location: Dronten, the Netherlands
Price: €65/year - I'll keep it as long as they have a better deal. It will not likely be replaced by any provider.
Why its best for you: It's the latest EPYC CPU model "Genoa" with high frequency (3.1Ghz) which is as fast as Ryzen 9 5950X. Their 50% CPU usage policy is generous too. I can use 2 out of the 4 CPUs 24/7. The 20TB at 2.5Gbps monthly bandwidth is plenty and generous as well. Once used up, the port is reduced to 100Mbps unmetered.
    Yabs:

    MXRoute email package:

    10GB Storage
    Unlimited Domains
    Unlimited Emails
300 outbound per hour (per email)
    $15/3 years

$5 a year for any size MXRoute package is a great deal. It appears to be still available today 12/5/23 - https://mxroute.blackfriday/

Couple years ago MXRoute offered $5 a year and I picked one up but never really had a use for it because had shared hosting and the host took care of email at the time. Didn't renew MXRoute after a year. Then switched to VPS for hosting. I had two of my domains grandfathered in for free email service with Postale.io (highly recommended) which left a third domain that needed a reliable service.

Tried various free solutions like sendgrid for sending mail and having Namesilo forward incoming mail to a gmail address. And some other services. But kept on having issues over the years. Highly regreted giving up my $5 a year MXRoute account and kept hoping they would offer it again one day.

And lo in the year of our Lord 2023 it happened! Thanks @jarland

It was easy to setup and is working 100%

edit: misread "VPS Deals" as "Black Friday Deals" So:

**Best VPS Deal ** was VirMach offer of up to 90% off on LET. Someone mentioned it here on LES so checked it out, logged in to LET the first time in a year or so, clicked the deal, solved the FAT32 puzzle, and 90% off came up. Decided on a NVMe1G plan which is 1 Ryzen core, 1GB RAM, 30GB storage, 2TB BW

Only $5 a year, a bargain too good to pass up.

My actual best buy was from bakker-it.eu : GIF without too much movement, 2 CPU, 2 GB RAM, 2x40 GB storage in RAID10, IPv4+IPv6, more bandwidth than I can use, on bare Proxmox, for 10 euro/year!

damn! how did i miss this. any YABS

    I bench YABS 24/7/365 unless it's a leap year.

My best was one from Crunchbits:

    8 core Xeon
    20GB RAM
1TB SSD (think it's "only" sata, but dedicated, which is nice)
    20TB @ 2.5Gbps
    Location: Washington, US
    $41/year

I dunno how to format it all pretty (figured it out) but here is yabs:

Bakker IT is a Dutch company and DMCA does not apply. They are only required to follow Dutch law regarding copyrighted material

I just saw these descriptions, maybe I got it wrong.

Same here. I managed to get the coupon applied, but when the invoice got generated it was the full amount 🥲

I missed that one too but, it's ok.

I wasn't paying much attention to Black Friday and wasn't hardcore shopping anyways, like the years before

Nevertheless, BakkerIT is low-key and Rick's a cool and helpful guy - I have services with him for almost 2 years now.

Indeed have heard great things about Rick, even from v6node - who is a competitor. Maybe another time I'll get one 😄
