As we are working closely together with v6node, I think I can shed the light here that downstream BGP is currently actively being developed, but please understand there are quite some difficulties automating such solution, in order to make it as smooth as you're probably used to ;-)

The implementation on our end got a bit more complex, unfortunately.
One of our upstreams (CDN77) persists in their manual review of new prefixes that also can only be submitted once a week via mail.

Big thanks to our longtime partner @Rick who assists us in many aspects of the implementation and shares with us his best practices :)

I hope BGP sessions get supported before BF23. Looking forward to get one then! 😄

One of our upstreams (CDN77) persists in their manual review of new prefixes that also can only be submitted once a week via mail.

    1. In your router, perform IRR verification and announce to all upstream providers other than CDN77.
    2. Once a week, generate a report of new prefixes added this week.
    3. Use a template to generate the required mail, and submit through an online postal service that can print and send the mail for you.
    4. Start announcing the new prefixes to CDN77 after the expected processing time has elapsed.

New prefixes will experience suboptimal routes during the first week, but the whole process can be automated including the postal mail.

Thanks for the update @iandk and @Rick. I understand that it requires a lot of implementation and alignment with upstreams.
Was just wondering since on June 17th you said:

BGP will probably require another 1-2 weeks

Will keep waiting for it, performance of the VPS is still very good.
