Hello everyone

Good morning,
I hope you are all well?
I just wanted to do a post to introduce myself here, I am Luke, MD of Brit Hoster. We're a new company launched by myself and my wife.
I want to be a part of the community here and will assist where I can with any issues people may come in to technically or otherwise
Mod Note: This is an introduction thread for a member that has requested a provider tag.

Hmm... a bit too much copy and paste for my taste:
Where exactly would I find that?
Sorry, well spotted - we had used a template and adapted it for our use. Now updated and amended.
do you, perchance, require a system administrator?

Good morning and welcome.
Sorry - have a virtual hug
Virtual hug? Fuck yeah.
Can I ask about your hardware?
Also, are both https://brithoster.com and https://brithoster.co.uk yours?

Yes - they are both mine.
We currently rent our hardware - we are running the below spec currently;
Dual Intel Xeon E5-2680v4
NVMe Drives
128GB DDR4
1GBPs Port
Almalinux 9 with Cloudlinux / Litespeed
Might have needed that hah

That's great hardware!
Do you intend on selling VPSes with time?

Thank you.
Yes in time we intend to offer VPS, we just want to start getting the ball rolling initially and the next phase will be a rollout of virtual machines
you should meet @MichaelCee he can help you, make sure to have a full fridge thou.
Sounds good to me, my fridge is always full - just not of any alcohol - I'm a Yorkshire Gold drinker.
Did you also have Xtremeserv.com ?
Tell us a little about your past history in the hosting biz.

That is a blast from the past, I was very young back then maybe 15 or 16?
I've been in and around the hosting industry for a little while, main issue I have had (being completely transparent) was funding to keep things rolling. Fortunately this time I've got an investment company on board (can be seen at Companies House).
From running providers previously to helping out as a freelance SysAdmin I've got plenty of years of experience.

Regarding our fella here:
Don't take it personally, that is he's way to say "hy"
I promised myself to get a link from AS174 just to mess with him
Tell us more about what you bring to the "pub" other then the usual drinks? any perks?
Cheers!!

Haha - no offence taken don't worry.
In terms of what I bring to the pub - the main difference is support - I know it's easy to say but a genuine 24h around the clock and so far (granted we are new) ticket response times are under 5 minutes - intention is to keep it that way too! I also know that as we scale that will not be as simple.
I'm looking at introducing VPS in the near future too.
THAN!
[Usually muppets get it the other way around. ]
It wisnae me! A big boy done it and ran away.
NVMe2G for life! until death (the end is nigh)
You will be fine here as long as you keep that sense of humor and the drama away from you.
Now starting drama about others well.......😉
