Its not that we monitor every provider here.
And if a provider snoops around without reasonable cause, I would say that provider is a dick, and we have a rule against that.
It can be enforced by community reports like how bdspice reported it in OGF
I don't visit OGF, so I don't know the reference, but how would we know that the report from a, perhaps disgruntled, customer is reporting exactly what has happened?
It's not like the Provider could/would/should reply in the open with customer details to an outsider of the business relationship.
That would be a breach of GDPR and that action itself wouldn't create confidence towards that Provider.
Let's review an example: A (former) customer of NameCrane writes a community report of suspected snooping of their data.
Do you think that @Francisco would share the story with me, as a forum administrator? To be the judge in this case?
I only used Fran as an example, as he is a well-known provider with great integrity.
I mean, wouldn't the report be enough? If you write an honest review on the forum, people will have the chance to read it, and make their own decision if they should sign up with that provider.
As long as their are no personal attacks in the review, and its somewhat backed up with some sort of proof, then I would keep it in the Review category.
