Haven’t figured out color coding or optimal positions for these yet. There’s more 48 port panels as well. Finalizing the details now and we’ll get something online.
Some cables were delayed until today, and weather yesterday was on and off rain, so I decided to wait to set up the switches as intended instead of a temporary workaround. It's still going to rain later but enough time to move in more equipment.
IP subnets are ready as of yesterday. Hard drives for storage node have arrived. First Epyc node is complete but it'll be used for Windows (it's 7F52.) There's a high likelihood I'll be able to complete the beta migrations tonight/past midnight.
We're still likely waiting until Monday for IX to be moved out of quarantine and then likely a few more days before we start peering. The second cabinet should be ready around the same time, so the "beta" period will look more like this week and maybe we'll be ready for a sale next weekend instead.
I'll head over in a couple of hours, just need to eat something and decide what other servers I'll be taking down.
This is generally not something we do anything about anymore. I assume if enough people hit "not spam" their super smart algorithm might figure it out. Emails are sent out from a dedicated IP address that only sends emails for our WHMCS, so if these big mail players want to misclassify it as spam then we're not going to put in any extra effort outside of just making sure everything is configured properly on our end.

Migration to OKC Ticket Created #275953. @VirMach, Can I ask more than one?
You can request as many services as you want but I'd probably recommend at least waiting for and testing one first to see if you even like the location.
@VirMach I tried to add onto my ticket, but it seems I'm not able to bump it.
I just wanted to say, I'd be down to try an EPYC or Xeon Gold node whenever they are available. I'm interested in trying them since I've only ever had Ryzen with my Virmach services.

We'll start the weird experiments in this thread as I get VirtFusion and/or whatever else up. There's actually something really cool I've been working on, we can say it's in pre-alpha. In several weeks to a few months we can let you guys do a closed beta of that as well.
I ran out of cable ties and I forgot my roll of CAT6 at home (I was going to cut everything to length from the patch panel) but it turned out pretty okay.
And that’s my uhh… finger at the bottom of the photo

I'll give the cables two weeks before the spaghetti gets tangled.
That’s just an independent layer for the second 1G per server, I actually brought it forward like that so I can trace them quicker if I need to right now. The photo probably does make it look like it’s all about to tangle but they’re all on the bottom layer.
Updated photo from the front. Switches are about to come online, followed by a final check on all servers and then I'm probably grabbing some breakfast, then adding the Ryzen servers to SolusVM and fulfilling migration requests.
The bottom ASRock servers (as well as 7~ other ones like them) will now go in the second cabinet but are just parked in the first for now. The dual Xeon Gold (green tab) server may be moved out as well. Supermicro 24 bay has drives in it now.
The empty space will be filled with the Ryzen 5500 bare metals. These will likely be at least a few more days and for dedicated server rentals I have to also implement the provisioning module.
The 2U Epyc won't be brought online for another few days, I had to order another power supply for it. The EX4200's might move out and a second 2U Epyc will likely go underneath it (non-Windows.) The EX4200's might temporarily be used in the second cabinet but I'm thinking of just getting rid of them and placing two more EX4300's instead.

As you can see it’s a pretty tight fit on the Epyc.

where is the cable management

And can get pushed in like this:

Want me to undo all the cable management so you can see the difference?
Updated photo, if you want it any better fly over and bring a full depth cabinet so we can fit in a cable management bracket on the patch panel.
Sure, as long as you like my cable management. Just let me wrap things up with the first cabinet.
I only did all this so I can have a VPN with low latency so I’m pretty excited too.
