[Trade] DigiRDP India $5/yr 1TB Storage VPS
My plans with this VM didn't go quite as expected, and for my use case, the bandwidth is a bit tight
Willing to trade this VM with any other deal that is good enough for me. I don't care if it's a Storage VPS, regular VPS, ... Location also doesn't matter.
DigiRDP doesn't have any transfer fee, and if your deal is good enough, I might even cover the transfer fee from your provider.

Same provider or a different one for trade?
Depending on the YABS, I might offer this one.
🥹 wish I had sumthing to give for this......................
Preferably different, since I already got a $3/yr VPS with them lol
I got a 1TB 9.69$/y Host-C but not sure if the trade would be worth it.
The thing is 5$/y is a banger right, no question, but they often sell it for 10$/y or 15$/y regular.

Hi I have a Xhosts.uk service with AMD EPYC 7F52 16-Core Processor 2 Virtual Core, 2GB Ram 35GB storage, 4TB transfer @ 10Gbps. Recurring price is £15 per year. Location is UK. If you are interested I can post more info here
That's alright. But this one is in a different location. I linked complete specs and YABS in the previous comment. Also, no E5.
I have an idling Data Ideas $6 1GB Texas as well.
Damn, I was looking for this so badly sometime back and even posted a trade offer elsewhere. I wish I had something worthy to trade for now.
Why?
Emmmm...
Feeling very tired, let's call it a day.
This is an amazing deal—hope to see it again this Black Friday.

Will wait for YABS to see how that HDD storage performs… I do have quite a few fragrant servers worthy
I have the same deal (not available for transfer), and as the speeds should basically be the same, here's the YABS:
cpu_logger | Recommended providers: Layer7, dataforest (Avoro/PHP-Friends), @host_c
Pure HDD.
I am jealous

$5 is a crazy steal still though… Even without the 1TB storage, it’s a good deal in APAC.
I wonder how that storage will perform when trying to retrieve a file (let’s just say a 4GB ISO stored in an mp4 format) as a network storage. Anybody with some Linux knowledge knows how the OS / FS handles large file transfers, even when block size is 4KB?
I guess it tries to group the operations up, but ultimately, depends on fragmentation of the disk, and the classic HDD limitations (which cylinders they occupy, how far from the head yada yada), how it’s virtually divided etc… so can’t really predict much?

While it's certainly not fast, it should work for light workloads. While I'm not using mine, I have a VPS from another provider with similar HDD speeds (advertised as 300 IOPS/50 MB/s and consistently reaching those), and it's working great for backups.
cpu_logger | Recommended providers: Layer7, dataforest (Avoro/PHP-Friends), @host_c
This one is < 5MB/s at 4k (200 IOPS) which makes even backups very painful (or so I would think) depending on the size of the backups. But it's good to know that you're able to use something a little better for your own use case.
I honestly don't think such low IOPS/speeds are even worth putting on a VM in this day and age. I hope they're able to tune it and put some sort of a decent caching layer to make it a little more respectable performance wise.
My $.02.
