Nice sneak peak :-D pic smells like gigabyte.
Yeah, we mostly use Gigabyte motherboards for EPYC + standard SuperMicro 2U chassis.
They make solid EPYC boards. For Milan, they were one of the only one's we could find with 16 DIMM slots and Gen4 U.2. For Genoa, they were one of the few that we could find availability for near launch.
I heard that the Gigabyte Ryzen boards are a disaster though, we use Supermicro for most of our Ryzen builds.
I’m not really sure about the MC12-LE0, I was talking more about the AM5 boards. We had a few AM5 nodes with Gigabyte boards in the early days and they had random rebooting and freezing issues, and I know of some providers/people that are using them now with problematic behavior. I haven’t been too updated on that. Perhaps these are isolated cases, I don’t know exactly.
Regarding AsRockRack, we have certainly had a number of issues with the B650D4U model including defective units and odd behavior (e.g. random reboots again). In addition, early units were shipped with issues that cause them to die quickly.
We haven’t had any issues with SMC boards. They are ~$100-200 more expensive than AsRockRack or Gigabyte, so I would be using both brands if I had actually trusted them for Ryzen.
Anyways, this is what one of our nodes look like (excluding NIC)
Soon we’ll be launching our 9950X VDS/VPS (maybe?) lineup. All servers will contain RAID-1 U.2 Enterprise NVMe, 10 Gbps (or above), and are adequately cooled to ensure the best clock speeds possible. We’re also hoping to add ECC to some of our builds, but still evaluating the stability / pricing of 48GB ECC modules.

No they are not. I am using gigabyte MC12-LE0 with ryzen processor in uk and no issue for past couple of months. Gigabyte and Asrock surely giving tough time to other brands.

Yeah one of our gigabyte boards did had ipmi issue which we never got to work. But may be its just their poor quality control checks.

consumer grade NVMe? no IOPS issue?
I bench YABS 24/7/365 unless it's a leap year.
Crucial P3 Plus nvme. IOPS issue..none of I noticed.

Its a beauty...

It doesn't matter so much for Ryzen nodes, but I'd question the reliability
