Story of unreliable Hetzner AX162 motherboards, now fixed

https://www.ubicloud.com/blog/debugging-hetzner-uncovering-failures-with-powerstat-sensors-and-dmidecode

Basically this place upgraded their AX161 fleet to AX162 and found that the AX162's crashed all the time. After much debugging pain and two revs of the AX162 motherboard, the thing works reliably now, but they are no longer keen on adopting new products until they have been battle hardened for a while.

  • For the sake of accuracy, when you say fixed, were they spayed or neutered?

Given many refer to their computers as a "she", I'd say spayed.

The all seeing eye sees everything...

Read that but was kinda disappointed. They never seem to have figured out the answer. Hetzner seems to have mostly fixed it their side
