OVH support said that

'The account with the email was created in the same database / subsidiary, in this case it should be World (WE) as your current account is based in this subsidiary'

what does that mean? I thought I was a US account but it sounds like it's not US or EU?

Just in case anyone is curious.. I don't have a US account after all.

WE is (World English - which by default uses USD$) when you check the flag at the top right of our official webpage you would >see (World [$]) as shown in the attachment on the ticket. The World subsidiary is part of our CA database (ca.ovh.com) and the account creation link for WE - World is the following link below:

If you claim there is an OVHcloud account with this email as the primary email on on a OVHcloud account, it is most likely >based in US OVHcloud which we have no visibility of these accounts OVHcloud US is a separate entity.
