I did see that the 30% is only for existing customers (assuming, that it might mean had paid services for a year or more maybe?)
So if you're 'new' that might be why it's not working.

so why
Probably due to no IPv6 in this location. If VirMach had IPv6 in all locations I would not have so many other provider's VMs. I actually find the performance of VirMach VMs superior to most lowend providers. There are a few exceptions of course, but I would not keep most of the others provider VMs if VirMach had IPv6 everywhere. My VirMach Tokyo VMs have IPv6 and I find VirMach superior to my GreenCloud Tokyo VMs, which I will probably cancel at end of term. I have one VirMach VM in Amsterdam that has IPv6 and it has better performance and has a more consistently stable network than the three other provider I use in Europe. I really wish that my recent purchase in Amsterdam had been provisioned on and IPv6 capable node, so I could drop some of the others, but alas it was not.
I do use HE IPv6 tunnels on my Miami, NYC, Los Angeles, and Amsterdam VirMach VMs but they are not as reliable or consistent as native IPv6. I use GreenCloud and Crunchbits for most of my webservers and monitoring servers in the USA because of the native IPv6. The only exception being VirMach Miami.
I do find plenty of uses for my 15 VirMach VMs, but I would most likely not need most of the 15 VMs from other providers if VirMach had native IPv6. I still have my fingers crossed that IPv6 will happen across the VirMach platform someday, but recently I have been thinking of just dropping IPv6 altogether, saving myself some money, and calling it a day.
I bought two $20 /yr VMs from VirMach and that's it. I have not even looked at the OGF BF thread since I have been generally disappointed with the newer providers that are so prevalent there. So I got money to spend, but I really don't need anything in particular.

I have 3 services, I can't apply the coupon either haha
I also have new services and would like to purchase others again. Cannot be used.
WHMCS has a mind of its own when it comes to existing customer coupons, it'll either work for you or it won't.
@Kris said: @VirMach You know how there are people on cruises who end up playing the lotto machines right until they get out of international waters hoping for that white whale?
Can you slow her down so we get into port around 4-5 AM? I'm feeling lucky...
Sorry I just woke up after sleeping way too long. I woke up and I guess my body rejected that so I slept a second full eight hours. Good news is that probably means I'll be awake for another day or or two now, but bad news is I'm currently unable to figure out where the ship is located.
@user123 said: @VirMach several of my idlers are stuck with unexpanded disk and the button to expand disk seems to have been removed. Is this something I should ticket in for (without being charged for the ticket? :$) and can I just ask them to expand all of them to the correct size or would I have to request them one by one? Thanks!
Yeah, put in a ticket. We can expand them all.

What's your storage request? It won't b on the flash sale, it can do it but it would likely be confusing with people thinking it's SSD.

I'll see where else we have extra IPs. It definitely won't bee San Jose, we weren't supposed to do that one.

Okay but seriously once I'm no longer spending my free time on the Black Friday flash sale script, I'll probably be spending it on the IP manager script and that one's important for IPv6. It just ends up always getting too complicated and I want to start over to do it in another better way.
@FrankZ said: I really wish that my recent purchase in Amsterdam had been provisioned on and IPv6 capable node, so I could drop some of the others, but alas it was not.
I should at least finish those out, as long as people understand the IPv6 will be taken away and reprovisioned once we have official support.
I'm supposed to be cutting back on the number of servers (diminishing/retiring clients, cPanel price rises, health etc.)..
So, I cancelled one and gained another. IF a multi-IP CHI appears circa $20, the situation may change..
Hello, possibly a silly question - I clicked through a $5 offer yesterday in a not-logged-in state, then logged in as part of the checkout process, before finalising the payment. I can see the charge on my credit card but I can't see any record of this being billed in my Virmach control panel - I originally assumed this was just a delay in provisioning as mentioned on the rotating deals website but with it not appearing on the billing side of things I'm wondering now if there there might have been a glitch. Should I raise a ticket?

Don't worry, Chicago is actually critically low on IP addresses right now because I never added in blocks from when we did the two datacenters merged into one event around July. Later on we're going to move some other blocks here but the system doesn't do IOU's for IP addresses and some servers right now are stuck with something like 60 IP addresses each right now so you definitely won't be seeing one on this sale. Okay this is the part where I would think it'd be funny to add one in but I don't even think we have enough to where we could physically do a single quantity flash deal with more than one without it erroring out.

You can contact us, if you have any reference numbers. Otherwise the charge will automatically disappear eventually. I'd need invoice ID, or deal number and some other details like where your card is from, last 4 digits, etc, to try to find it in the system.
Glad to see that you caught up on your sleep, we need to keep you healthy.

Tokyo ? Chicago ? San Jose was good, but I'll guess I'll just need to wait and see.
@VirMach said: I should at least finish those out, as long as people understand the IPv6 will be taken away and reprovisioned once we have official support.
This is no issue for me. Changing IPv4 is a PITA but changing IPV6 is a snap in my applications.
@FrankZ said: Tokyo ? Chicago ? San Jose was good, but I'll guess I'll just need to wait and see.
Tokyo technically has a good amount of free IP addresses, basically over half of Tokyo naturally expired and we didn't do any sales there for a while but I've already explained that in much greater detail in the past (either in a big wall of text that I did or didn't post.) But it would be Tokyo so the pricing would be Tokyo-esque.
Chicago and San Jose not very much, but they'll be getting more later.
Amsterdam is the best candidate for a lot of IPs right now and then a few specific servers pretty much everywhere except Chicago. We already did the only one in San Jose but maybe I'll find another, but my boss... don't listen to anything I'm saying right now by the way my brain is still not firing on all cylinders. I just recently figured out it's Saturday.
Not sure how many others the system will spit out. I'll probably do a deeper dive on Tokyo since we do need to re-fill that location, but more strategically, at some point, to try to save the location. I think I've only done one specific really really good deal in Tokyo. I don't think you were around, that one was:
That one was mainly for testing how quickly it'd sell and if it would break the new logic in the system for quantity limits. It did break the limits. It oversold by +33% (I think it just breaks WHMCS completely when two people click to add to cart at the same exact second or something at the end and nothing we can do about it.)

I might just let it do it's thing then and disappear, as I don't think I'll have that info and it's such a small amount to be bugging you about. Thanks for the confirmation and the quick reply, I've had a low usage machine since Black Friday 2017 now and the service has been good 👍

I forgot to check the AUP service before. Can I apply to buy again? I haven't seen the CPU allowance increase to normal limits before.
I might opt for a low spec/low price VPS in Tokyo…. Other than that, not even tempted (er.. dreading ) to check out vps.black…. Site.
