GreenCloud 9999 available for transfer
Daniel
OG
I've got 5 VPSes with GreenCloudVPS and am trying to consolidate, so one of the ones I no longer need is available for transfer. It's from their 9th birthday sale in 2022:
- 9 cores on Xeon E5-2698 v4
- 9 GB RAM
- 99 GB storage
- 9999 GB monthly transfer
- "San Jose, California" (actually at OpenColo in Santa Clara, CA)
- $99/3 years
- Currently paid until October 2025
Asking for $25 for the remaining time, plus $10 for GreenCloudVPS' transfer fee. Payment via PayPal, Zelle (USA), Venmo (USA) or PayID (Australia). If multiple people are interested then I'll pick someone randomly.
IMPORTANT: To receive a transfer from GreenCloudVPS, you have to already have a GreenCloudVPS account and must have already used their services for at least 1 month.

I want one
Sure, it can be yours It's ready to transfer. Just PM me and let me know how you want to pay.
GreenCloud's transfers are manually completed at the moment. Once you send the money, I need to open a ticket with them and get them to transfer it.

Ouch I didn't read this part before. I don't qualify
Oh yeah, they're a bit strict about transfers of promotional services. Sorry

Pretty sure the 1 month requirement is only for the current owner. Not the one that you want to transfer your VPS to
Best and friendliest host Hostbrr aff.
@imok this is my understanding as well. ^
Great location. I have one as well and really like it.

@Daniel woudld you ask them ?
Ooh thanks for the clarification. I'll ask them tomorrow, and if they say it's okay, I'll start transferring it to you @imok. I've been using GreenCloudVPS since 2018 so my account age isn't an issue
I love their San Jose location since I live nearby. I get 3-4ms pings to my GreenCloud VPSes

Good provider, nice specs... Ping for me is also 3-4 ms... but in hundreds ( 300-400 ms) ... otherwise would have snapped it up! Best wishes imok and Daniel for the Xfer...

Thanks - It looks like this is the case and I just misunderstood their support when I asked about it last time. I think you're in luck @imok. I'm asking them what the process is.

This VPS didn't work well for @imok due to location, so it's available for anyone else that wants it. It's a good deal for $33/year!

Guys, take it. You will regret when it's not available anymore. E5-2698 v4 is powerful.
Would but need more space

I would take it but the automated scheduled backup does not work currently with greencloudvps. I opened a ticket with failed backups about a month ago and they fixed that very quick! I got busy with life and tried to go in to test it today, backup works but no schedule option (I had to log into Crunchbits' control panel to confirm I am not going crazy). I spoke them about this over a ticket today because I need the automation of scheduling in place vs. manually taking snapshots for my peace of mind.
They are supposed to get it working very soon, that is what they told me. They seem very honest and transparent so I will give them time to get it working. If I don't pick something else up before they get scheduled backups working, I will let you know @Daniel.
I didn't realise they even have a backup system. I use Borgbackup on all my VPSes, and make two backups - one to a storage VPS and one to my home server.

Virtfusion made it easy to put it simply for hosts to offer. How they offer it is up to them, giving them a lot of selling power with minimal effort if I read the documentation correctly on the website. I use easypanel today or other docker based hosting methods which makes it easy to manage my imags and all.

So you need to see if your plan includes it. Mine included 1 snapshot and said so when I purchased it. Does yours have snapshots included? I was looking at their website and they did not include it for all plans it seems. I have 1 snapshot included in my 11GB promo I got this year.
@Daniel Hi. I want to buy this if it's available
@vlogyhub Sorry, it's already gone now. Someone bought it from me earlier today. I'll have one or two others available for transfer at some point though. Consolidating some VPSes onto one larger one

Apologies @Daniel to jump in your thread
@vlogyhub - I have the same one that I can let go if you are interested.
May we know the specs and provider of that big vps?
@localhost Hi, Can you share the specifications and the provider name of the VPS so I can decide?
Did you get a chance to check to see if they have backup slots?
They don’t do timed automated backups for free like some other providers. They charge for that configuration, that’s why I am hesitant. Having to go in manually is a lot of work, easier to set up my own automation.
Hi. It is the exact same that @Daniel posted.
Greencloudvps.com is provider.
