3rd party themes - additional risk to security vulnerabilities, and data breaches.
A month ago hostus.us hosting provider identified security vulnerability identified in their WHMCS theme Lagom Client Theme, which has led to unauthorized access to their WHMCS database by a hacker.

@Diwakar why dont you participate in discussions over creating 10s of threads? I have only seen you create threads and NEVER reply in the threads yourself.

@bikegremlin why doesn't LES have the minimum required posts before getting the permission of opening threads like other forums?
For (what I believe is still a vast) majority of users, this is not needed.
But it does detriment a new user from posting a genuine question or request via a new topic (when that makes most sense).
This is the problem of providers trying to just tick the 5+ post box, instead of participating in the community.
A solution for the spammy post or thread problem could be a 1-month provider tag request resolution delay for each spammy post.
A more extreme solution would be a ban - after one or several spammy posts.

Yea, you are right about the inconvenience to most users if there is no way for them to create threads...
Also, 1 month delay would just cause them to sign up and come back after a month to do the same while good providers would be hampered by the 1 month delay in offering services.
I guess monitoring spammy posts is the better way. Maybe have it count against their good posts? So at the end of the day, when they request a provider tag, count 1 spammy post as -2 good posts so there is more of an incentive to avoid spammy posts? I dunno. Forum moderating seems like a tough job! Good on you to keep it up
For me, due to vulnerabilities and other security related purposes, I'd rather have default whmcs theme that's fully secured than a good looking with security flaws.

Seen multiple hosts use Lagom. Crunchbits and Kuroit come to mind.

I've used WHMCS dark theme when I last used WHMCS(2020), not sure if it exists now.
Not aware that there is a backend theme available for WHMCS

There is no overlap. Creating discussions but never taking part in it is a form of spam. If you are spamming, your account may be banned so better participate in the threads you are creating ACTIVELY.

Wow, he really does have a track record. I think it's pretty clear we're out of "is this a spammer" territory then
