Best VirDeal o' year so far AFAIK was over in BuyLow town with up to 90% off NVMe1G, 2G, and 4Gs. That was $5 a year for one Ryzen core, 1GB RAM, 30GB, 2TB bandwith. ..
Didn't need it, didn want it, but had to buy it because.... $5. I mean it would be stupid to miss that kind of the deal, right.?! Seriously considered adding extra IPs for $1 a year, getting port 25 unblocked for one time $5 fee, mabye getting the NVME4G deluxe package for mere $20 year. But what to do with it then?. Was trying to slim down to three VPS this year- one for production site and two more with different providers for daily backup and less important sites.
Anyway I am going to idle the hell out of my new NVME1G. Idle it HARD. Idle it FAST. Or more likely just visit it on weekends until I forget that I bought it
Some good Mystery drama this year, would have been worth the price by itself.
Knowing VirMach it's not nearly over- how about something that beats 90% off for the LES side of town??

I'll nevertheless cry if I'm getting a 128 MB box. I'm sure "Insubstantial" in my box name is a typo, and should be "InSubstantial". Definitely.
Phew, no crying required, but I guess it wasn't a typo by the random fairy. Not sure about my grief stage of the location yet, ... This has been a rollercoaster, thank you for something different.
E. but... does ru.archive for /etc/apt/sources.list really make sense for Ubuntu 20.04 minimal, which I decided to try out here...?
I have been using Virmach since more than three years ago. The first couple of years with Virmach is smooth without issues just like other providers does. I still have a legacy OVZ-256 and I remember while they migrate all OVZ product line to KVM they upgrade all OVZ-256 servers to 384MB RAM because they used to know there is a bottom line and as for KVM VPS with lower RAM is basicly not usable.
So while many of us initialy get notified from different sources about the new listing of mystery box we placed order without hesitate even there is no information have been released yet just because our trust to this provider and although we understand it's a lottery but we thought there won't be lower specs than that bottom line.
It literally made me surprised while the rules of this mystery box released.
As we all know there won't be a use case of VPS with 128MB RAM for most people.
However there is quite a few folks gets 128MB plans which is just too much to make a meme.
I believe as a result most of these 128MB plans will keep idle during the whole 2 years but I wonder if there will be much profit can be made by this because the ipv4 may cost quite a part of the price.
Now there is a lose-lose situation as their customers totally wasted their 20 bucks althrough it won't give Virmach too much profit but disappointment from customers by punishing it's followers for their blindfold trust.

Well lets hope you learned a lesson and don't just randomly buy absolutely anything without knowing what it is first. For all you knew he was going to send you a literal cardboard box in the mail. Zero sympathy.

congrats 👏🎉

We get a new circus clown, welcome to the masochist club, mate!

here is the beast one.
I will be going over my servers from last year and most likely retiring / transferring them to people for basically transfer cost + PP fee's
I reinstall 3 times but still fail to connect ,the VNC shows the same. What should I do
128MB system cannot really have much, use netboot.xyz, and install alpine linux.
Another sorry ass, you missed the change to re-roll spec
Ontario Dildo Inspector
128M RAM is not enough to install Debian 10 provided by virmach, you can install centos 7 or Ubuntu 18 which have lost support long ago.
Have the honor of being the crybaby who pays $20 for a 128MB VPS at VirMach in 2023.
i think my mysterybox did i nice hodl
and newyork ping around 150-160 not that bad for me, if this was in eu, it would make a nice remote desktop

here lies another crybaby who dont know what a mystery box means
I bench YABS 24/7/365 unless it's a leap year.
When you buy "Anything" or "Whatever" soft drinks at least you expecting something you can drink.
yeah you don't whine when its plain water instead of champagne. it's still a drink.
I bench YABS 24/7/365 unless it's a leap year.
What a bad example. You bought a mystery VPS that you can still use as a vps... I have NAT VPS's running on 64mb ram.
It's much different between KVM and OVZ.
It's worse than plain water because the 128M KVM (~100MB usable) even hard to find a bootable OS and can not complete apt-upgrade
you can try alpine Linux
I bench YABS 24/7/365 unless it's a leap year.
if we dont buy how can they provide theese cheap servers? some times pay a bit more...
try windows 95
