I'm with Terrahost at the moment, having some issues so looking to try out alternatives ahead of time in case I want to cancel/transfer ahead of it's renewal around BF.
What's that you have with terrahost? Incase you eat to transfer out.. would love to get it
It's the yearly special from a couple of BFs ago, i3-4130 with a 2TB drive (should have been 500GB). There's already a waiting list for the transfer, I'll put you on it - I want to move away from it but I keep having issues with potential replacements,
Sounds good. What position will I be honored to start at?

3rd of 4th, most likely. I'll check in with the rest of the line when the time comes to shift. Last renewal was about £100/$130/year.

What about some cheap Raspberry Pi Hosting then? Map some network storage/drive and be done with it. Ikoula RPi starts from 6,99€/mo iirc.

a Leaseweb/OVH reseller for the seedbox market. No control panel. No billing platform. No tickets. Discord is the ticket system
so if you have a problem with the server your best bet is to contact him over at Discord to solve the issue e.g Hardware replacement etc..
but the servers and his support are prem.

OneProvider currently have stock for Xeon E3-1220 8 GB 2× 1 TB (HDD SATA) 1 Gbps Unmetered €14.00 in Paris
That's the sorta shiz I be diggin'.
Just to add to this, OneProvider are resellers. For their France servers it will either be Scaleway Dedibox (Online.net) or OVH. You can usually tell which is which because the Scaleway/Online.net ones are 1Gbps unmetered while the OVH have weird speed caps like 100Mbps/250Mbps/500Mbps.
So if you want to avoid OVH hardware, keep an eye out.

Not fussed about their hardware, just opting out of dealing with them directly.
By the way there is also this. They're obviously resellers, not sure from where.
There are a few dedis under <~15 EUR with at least 1TB + unmettered traffic

Hmmmm, Pentium!
Didn’t realise the list isn’t sorted by price, so I missed the cheaper stuff, thank!

Or maybe @DataIdeas Josh can put a 500GB Flash card in their Pi for you?

I shall rely on my flaccid sausage, then.
Exceeds my price range considerably. Thank.
Ikoula is JANK personified.
An RPI might work. I might even be able to run it from home. In-ter-est-ing....

ServerStatus , slackvpn <-- openVPN auto install script for Slackware 15
Depending on what you wanna do, maybe a self-hosted RPi at home will do. If you need networking use smth like Zerotier. Works liek a charm
