Dynadot will increase .one tld price on Dec. 1, 2022 Twice!
According to Dynadon email:
Dear XXX,
This email is to inform you of an upcoming price change for the .ONE domain extension. The central registry has notified us that a price increase will occur on December 1, 2022 00:00 UTC. As such, our prices will be updated to the following:
Regular Pricing: $14.99

So registry increases prices and you expect dynadot to absorb the cost? Wow. Good luck
Dude, you shot the messenger!
Why is the blame being put on Dynadot?

OP is so angry they are crossposting across OGF
Who is it?
Dynadot itself is not the registry? I think they are the registry for some TLD's. Idk about .ONE.
What are the cheapest recurring domains now?
I don't like Dynadot because of their shenanigans with .TK etc, but they are out there.
Good q
I am not too sure about cheapest recurring ones...
It's not Dynadot managing the registry. According ICANN's wiki it is managed.by ONE.com and GoDaddy.
In my opinion any price increase like this is somewhat artificial, as an attempt to make more money on final breaths of economy. As soon as the worldwide recession starts to kick in, the prices will drop significantly to make customers renew - otherwise new TLDs will drop in popularity while consumers will focus more on paying for energy bills.
At the end of the day a domain is just a row of text inside a database of a nameserver. It does not need too much electricity to exist.
Stop the planet! I want to get off!
.pp.ua for $0.75 reg/renew
.feedback for $1.49 reg/renew
And some other even less desirable TLD's
