@VirMach said: @fluttershy and your request would have been around $30 on the old new formula and $69.75 on the old formula. More doable biennial at $65.15 on newest formula.
If you can do biennial at $60 you got yourself a deal
Yeahhhhhhhhh about that. I don't think I have it in me to try to keep Jab at $40/yr and yours at $60/2yr. It's on a very fine line of basically being impossible.

Give me some wild ones so I can see if it breaks. Like one resource maxed out and not others. Any weird use cases? Where you'd need a lot of BW and nothing else, a lot of RAM and nothing else, a lot of disk and nothing else, and so on? Trying to figure out the boundaries it works within.

$65 it is then I need that NVMe for fast backups lol
Redoing all these with a more balanced memory formula but it gets wonky. Similar total cost components.
@fluttershy $29 requested versus $50.02 (annual) @yoursunny with IPv4 1G/2G/4G $16.61, $20.24, $34.48 (annual)
Then two years: @yoursunny GreenCloud and 8.8.8 are $69.75 and $18.88 requested but $117.99 and $45.74 @kuroneko23 requested $58 versus $53.40 @netrix requested $25 and $20 versus $31.65 and $28.05 @storm requested $80 versus $$125.99 @Flying_Chinaman first request $126.67 without HDD (but 4x IPv4) @Flying_Chinaman second stayed at around $83.26 @Jab $59.30 or $37.06 annual with 1.46TB BW.

Have you tested border conditions and verified input?
Last time during Ryzen migration, many MJJs successfully smuggled to Tokyo with F12 browser console.
Okay time to try V5 instead of realizing this is an impossible task. But to be fair all yours are BW heavy where we're giving a lot more than we anticipate being utilized on average. It works out well on average, but then we add in Tokyo and so on and it's harder to make the formula favorable.
V4 definitely looks more balanced, I just have to... I don't know.
Okay, here's V5 but we'll most likely need to cap it and have minimums for it to work.
@fluttershy $29 requested versus $36.10 (annual) and $57.76 biennial @yoursunny with IPv4 1G/2G/4G $14.78, $19.42, $32.84 (annual) @yoursunny GreenCloud and 8.8.8 are $69.75 and $18.88 requested but $97.06 and $38.91 @kuroneko23 requested $58 versus $56.16 @netrix requested $25 and $20 versus $30.67 and $28.79 @storm requested $80 versus $108.62 @Flying_Chinaman first request $112.60 without HDD (but 4x IPv4) @Flying_Chinaman second stayed at around $74.63 @Jab $59.11 or $36.94 annual with 1.46TB BW.
To make it work I had to basically lower the totals so it's not really 1:1 and I need to try to lift some of them somehow without affecting others as much.
This formula is closest to our Special 512 for $22 though.
Is this something you actually wanted for using/a project?
Probably one day when I have projects that reach certain scale... I am thinking it could be an interesting Redis/DB Server, but then 32GB is too huge, my existing 8GB plan is already more than sufficient.
食之无味 弃之可惜 - Too arduous to relish, too wasteful to discard.
Anyone tried migration to Frankfurt lately? I tried like 2 weeks ago, it was returning 500.
I would like to migrate one VPS, but I would need to add money first and there is no reason to add money if transfer not working!
also there is no reason to add 3$, so I would need to add like 20$... and that would make me vulnerable to BF deals!

This would be $365.05 a year. Can you tell my new formula is RAM-heavy?
Some of my old virbotted VMs might qualify:
3 vCPU
12GB RAM
25GB NVMe
1x IPv4
24TB @1gbps
$50/year
3 vCPU
11GB RAM
25GB NVMe
1x IPv4
21TB @1gbps
$41/year
If you want a challenge, try
1 vCPU
2GB RAM
15GB NVMe
1x IPv4
40TB @1gbps
Whoops, glad that's not a real user.
$65 it is then I need that NVMe for fast backups lol

Okay so we'll call it V3 and V4. And your RAM is fully missing right? So I'm putting in zero for that.
V3: $38.21/YR
V4: $59.67/YR
V3: $118/YR
V4: $98.33/YR
V3: $107.89/YR
V4: $90.35/YR
V3: $103.03/YR
V4: $101.46/YR

Trying to avoid this even being a possibility which will unfortunately make things more rigid and not how we want.
On V4 this is $114/yr and I don't know if that's a good thing.
Is virbot coming back?
Want free vps ? https://microlxc.net
How about this specs? (The storage is to store the persistent data)
食之无味 弃之可惜 - Too arduous to relish, too wasteful to discard.
Okay V4 is gone but this is V3 vs V5-ish
V3: $142.47/YR
V5: $103.44/YR
This just makes it to where it's impossible to do normal plans so we definitely need to put a memory cap.
That feels like it is still very RAM-heavy
食之无味 弃之可惜 - Too arduous to relish, too wasteful to discard.
tragic
Well we have to realize 32GB RAM being used on a 128GB max RAM Ryzen node can basically knock out 25% of its usability for just $103.44/YR.
Don't worry V5 fixes it.
get 4 and get the whole node to yourself
We can code a penalty of some sorts but then this:
hopefully good news for all my backups
Is VirBot a symbiot that has taken over VirMach? Or it's the other way around? I am confused.
Fast as fuck Core i9 VPS (aff) | Powerful AMD Ryzen VPS (aff)
VirBot pulls all the strings in the background. VirMach is just the PR guy.
I remember writing 1GB. Not sure were it's gone.
V3: $42.27/YR
V5: $41.66/YR
Okay, here's V5 but we'll most likely need to cap it and have minimums for it to work.
@fluttershy $29 requested versus $36.10 (annual) and $57.76 biennial
@yoursunny with IPv4 1G/2G/4G $14.78, $19.42, $32.84 (annual)
@yoursunny GreenCloud and 8.8.8 are $69.75 and $18.88 requested but $97.06 and $38.91
@kuroneko23 requested $58 versus $56.16

@storm requested $80 versus $108.62

After going through the last 170 new posts I realized I need my coffee because I have no clue what's going on.
V5 Final: $127.87

Eh, decisions, decisions, decisions.
Haven't bought a single service in VirMach Great Ryzen 2022 - 2023 Flash Sale.
